Thanks for the clarifications, Beth - will change the name as soon as I can get back onto my own laptop (on my sisters at the moment..she's downloading this massive file and I have to wait a few more hours till I can upload my own stuff : Yep, definitely sounds like Marat's dry sense of humour - I'm sure he'd get along great with his TGFR fans ;D I think Pim-Pim is quite a cute nickname too

Marat's bad moods are something to take with a plateful of salt, all the time. He's consistently more of a funny, jokey kind of guy than he is a jerk so it doesn't really hurt to learn that he's extremely moody, and extremely sarcastic. I'm sure all his friends are used to it. They may get pissed when he does it to them on THEIR bad days, but otherwise they seem to be cool about it in general. Actually, I don't know if I'm screwy but it's one of the things that turn me on about him. I'd actually worry if he weren't the explosive man off-court that he is on it. It's just not in keeping with that image. I love the fact that he "keeps it real" and doesn't give a hoot about what other people say... It's something I couldn't do myself, as I'm always self-conscious, always careful in case I might be causing pain/annoyance to others. I'm a pleaser, and it's not always lovely. Marat's demeanor is fine most of the time, but when he lets his inner devil out it should feel quite liberating, especially when he's bothered by so many pressures on his game and the constant travel, among other things. He needs to be bad to be good, and to be sane, most of all. There, I'm psycho-analyzing the guy again. I hope Dasha understands this of him, too, and tolerates, nay, embraces it.

hi tsarevna and sirius and ruth and everyone! well, yes i would say that marat's words definitely need to be taken with a healthy dose of salt, but i agree, his TGFR fans love him for who he is and all his sarcastic humour too... i hope that this week treated him well with practice and all ( i don't know if he left T.O. after his loss or if he stuck around to practice...) and i hope that cincy will be his tourney. i know he loves it there... so we'll see. my friend (the one who went to TMS Can. with me) is going to cincy. so hopefully she'll be able to relay along some more marat stories to cheer all of us up! hehe. tho she's a dubs fan, she's got a penchant for marat (don't we all???) and walt too! LOL MUAH! till next time *Beth
