I just got my tickets yesterday ! I'm actually volunteering at the event. I went to an orientation meeting yesterday and it looks amazing!!! (They built a new center based on the model in Miami) What's interesting is that the VIP entrance to the premises is where the players....and the volunteers ;D enter! I can still be on the premises with my ID (even if I'm not at my shift) and watch the games. The tickets I'll most likely just give to my friends/family. I want to ask him for his autograph hehe =)))) I don't know what to do with it though! One of my shifts is at an autograph signing session, though I'm not sure it's Marat's. By the way, yesterday at the meeting they confirmed he's coming ! If they're wrong...ohh I'll be very sad! I haven't seen a man with such presence in a long time  |

Wow Olya, that is wonderful! Hopefully you will have a great time. So what did you volunteer for? You mentioned the autograph seesion, what other jobs do you have?  |

Yeah you are tremendously lucky, I live near Cincinati, but I don't live in the state, so I can't volunteer. How did you get to volunteer.

Ok I will answer all questions now =) How did I get so lucky? Well somehow fate determined that I live in Toronto, where the cup is held... =) How did I become a volunteer? I simply expressed my interest! They have many volunteers running the event, I'd say about 1/2, or even more of the work is done by them. Of course we get fed, Adidas uniforms, free tickets, discounts bla bla...but really that's close to nothing if you think how much they'd have to pay us in reality. It's not hard to do, it's relaxing...you get to meet new people.. What's the job? We hand out samples, free popcorn, kids games, fastest serve contests, guys sometimes add to security of the players... Yeah I'll try to get Marat's autograph, but I don't want to bug him =) I have a few questions for him, maybe he'll like talking to me since I speak Russian...I'm guessing the best time to do that would be when he's arriving in the morning for his practices, or after his practice. I'll be taking pictures while not working...you know...when he's training...perhaps topless? |

hehehe By the way I might have some extra tickets...as I said, priority goes to family and friends, but I don't have many friends  hehehe and not everyone likes tennis.. so if anyone is going to be in Toronto that time , I might be able to share =) |
