I dont know i am pretty sure Marat is back home (Monta Carlo) practising as somehwhere on this site he says that he will be going to start practising for Dubai??? He was in Moscow. Because even before the final she said that. They interviewed her on the French tv (probably on Suday morning, or maybe Saturday afternoon after her semi-final) and she said he had just arrived in Moscow and all the family was with him to watch the match (parents, uncles and aunts, grand parents). So maybe he was there and then left for Monte Carlo on Moday? dunnow...

Thosse organizational skills of Marat and co arent 100% good. I mean he flies to Montecarlo from Mocow to train for only like 4 days and then gets on a plane to Dubai. Waste of time. Its much shorter from him to have travelled straight to Dubai from Moscow. No wonder tennis players complain bout how much time they spend in the air it coz the stupid peeps >:(dont know how to organize their stuff!!! But you gotta love the jetset lifestyle. ;D

But you gotta love the jetset lifestyle. ;D yeah but maybe it wasn't easy for him to practise in Dubai the week before the tourny, because of the organization there, the number of courts which are available before the tourny or something. I mean there must be a reason for that. Plus, players who "officially" live in Monte Carlo live there because they want to avoid the taxes as you know. But for that they have to spend a certain number of days in Monte Carlo during the year. So i guess spending a few days there from time to time between tournaments is quite good if he wants to show he's a "citizen" of MC ;D

from tennis-x.com: Serena Williams pulled mid-tournament from Paris last week with illness, but thankfully recovered enough to attend some Grammy Awards parties days later in the U.S...No comment....

lol are you complaining Steph? lol, actually yes... ...not about the fact Serena left the tournament (because if i used to like her years ago now i really don't)... ...not about the fact she withdrew before the match against Dina, cuz, hey, that helped our girl to reach the final ... ...but about this general attitude players have more and more now: skipping atp or wta events for fake reasons and then go attend parties, or exhibition tournaments... or skip major events pretending they're tired or injured but go play in a less prestigious tourny the next week because they'll get a big fine check.... And then they complained that tennis is suffering a lack of coverage and attention ... hellooooooooo! if you act with no respect to the public (like Serena obviously did), don't be surprised if people lose interest for tennis

Steph you are right but a little parties here and there re kindle Serena's spirit and then in tournament swe see the best of her and that is good for the game. I feel it may get a little boring playing week in week out when the next grand slam is a couple months away and so she can catch just chill for a week or so.
