OMG, i just learned no match has been played today due to the rain... poor Chris, i feel sorry for you, you've been waiting for this day to come. I guess you're very disappointed. Don't cry sweetie , you'll have other occasionsno need 2 cry damita...i had the 2nd best weekend of my life after the world championships, that was better cos i actually partook in that, but anywho on with the story ur probably wonderin y i had a gd weekend wen it rained...
...well, arrived at heathrow where we were stayin on friday nite, n stayed up 2 l8 so i could barely get up at 7 the nxt mornin
got up, had breakfast, headed off to wimbledon via bus 2 heathrow, train 2 paddington n tube 2 southfields where upon appearing from the station it was raining and the olympic torch was goin past, watched that then headed up 2 the AELTC
once we were in the grounds went straight 2 the shop n spent a lotta money on souvenirs etc due 2 rain there was no play all day as u know...so i spent my whole day player watchin underneath the bridge n balcony between centre court n the competitors complex...that was funny, cept they all looked like complete townies cos of their white traksuits, saw loadsa players...hewitt, henman, federer, navratilova, capriati, enqvist (hu looks so much like a biology teacher @ my school, mcenroe, virginia wade, n i'v decided that brad gilbert is an absolute ledge cos each time he went across he smiled 2 the crowd n made the rock on sign, the closest we got 2 play was @ 6 pm wen the got the net, ball kids n an umpire out b4 the rain came down, that was so funny cos my dad n i hadn't bothered 2 go back court one which we had tickets 4 but stayed @ court 18 where there was a crazee crowd who were doin mexican waves etc, wen it stopped rainin they started singin "it's not rainin any more" n "bring on the swedish" (match was meant 2 b between 2 swedish) n afta the covers went back on sum ppl started singin "oh johnny, johnny, johnny, oh johnny johnny, johnny, johnny wilkinson" n the aussies in the crowd stated shoutin 56-15 cos we lost 2 them at rugby b4 tryin 2 start a sing song...that was the end of my day....we left wimbledon sayin no we rnt gonna go 2moro n queue 4 ppls sunday but by the time we got 2 the hotel we were completely up 4 it, i wasnt goin all that way n not seein a single ball hit! ;D
27th June 2004 - PEOPLE'S SUNDAY
woke up @ 6am *aaah* had no breakfast n drove into london, parked n got in the queue...once we got r queue cards we found out where we were - i was number 8477 which meant we were guaranteed centre court tickets, i was extremely xcited as u can imagine!!! ;D ;D
so afta queuing 4 2 hrs 30 mins n revisin 4 my big science exam we got in n headed straight 2 centre court cos it was free seatin, got in there, gd seats nxt 2 royal box, watched federer (AMAZING) n then out came henman, the atmosphere was electric, even during the fed match it was but it kicked up a few more notches for henman's match...mexican waves, chanting, shouting singin, evrything it was brilliant....truly memorable, n then we watched serena williams win easily b4 taking loadsa pictures of the club n then as the rain came down i left the AELTC for the last time this year but i am so goin back....n headed home altho i got stuck in traffic n it took nearly 2hrs 2 get from wimbledon 2 just over the thames....n i also had 2 climb in the window of my bro's room in bristol @ 22:45 pm to get his stuff cos he's gone 2 henley cos he qualified on friday so xtra happiness 2 add 2 an already AMAZING AMAZING weekend
ok now i need 2 sleep cos writin that was hard work n i had 5 hrs sleep last nite n just hooked up with my d*mn fit cocaine dealer tennis coach from wen i was younger 4 the first time in 4 years so xtra tiredness
