Wow!!! Argentina has an awesome team!!!! btw, poor David, his father died? , that's not good at all, and he lost, maybe is because of that, when did his father die? His father, Nolberto Nalbandian, died the 12 th of December. It was a heart attack and David was in the hospital when it happened. He was 65 years old. I think this can be a really good reason for not making it so good... When he played a exhibition tournament in Buenos Aires, "Copa Argentina de tenis", (his father died on Sunday and the following Friday he was playing) he looked very sad. David was defeated in the final by Gastón Gaudio, this time in hard court. After he won his first match against Mariano Zabaleta he made a brief interview for TV and he said the most important thing of the match for him was having the will to play it. That was very, very sad * Argentina has got an awesome team, no doubt about it.... In the beginning I was very possitive about the Davis Cup, but now.... I think that when so mutch is expected, the pressure can be big.... And if Australia defeats Austria, what is very possible, and Argentina defeats Czech Republic, the next round is against Australia in their country... *Today Cañas and Moyá were on a TV show in Argentina ("Indomables"). I couln´t stop laughing!!! ;D ;D ;DThe interview is answering true or false. The questions were about "Tennis´ myths ". Really, really funny. Some of the things asked and answered can´t be written here without starting a BIG controversy, wich is not my intention . Anyway, they were adorable and charming. Although Carlos seemed shy. He may be having a good time in Buenos Aires, as this is his 10th day here

The best possible Davis cup match to me would be between Argentina or Spain at RG. We would be there for hours but the tennis would be truly amzing.
*WOW*

No more argentine players in Costa do Sauripe. The spanish players took revenge from last week in Buenos Aires and defeated the last ones (Nadal d. Calleri and Martin d. Zabaleta). And Luczak (AUS) defeated Massa (ARG), who came from the qualification. Now, I wish Nadal gets the trophy Next week Carlos Moyá, Gastón Gaudio, Guillermo Cañas, Jiri Novak and Luis Horna and many others, including Mariano Puerta, runner-up at the ATP Buenos Aires will be playing in Mexico. ;D Good luck to all of them. And good luck to Marat in Dubai, too. ;D

Mariel life is harsh but then again the fact that marat does not compete at wimbledon makes it a little easier to handle for me.

(from www.atptennis.com/en/newsandscores/news/2005/acapulco_tuesday.asp ) After losing the second set and with the score tied at one set a piece (6-2, 5-7), No. 2 seed Gaston Gaudio was not able to finish his match against Tomas Zib due to an acute pain on his hip. The Argentine could not play Costa du Sauipe due to an abdominal pain/injury. Gaudio: "I have to make some tests tomorrow to see the reality. I felt some pain on my left hip and want to check it out. I don't know if it will be one day, one week or one ,month off, we'll see." "I am happy the way I started the season winning back to back titles in Chile and Argentina. It is bad luck this two events but I am still happy the way I am playing" This does not look good for Davis Cup. Gaudio is invict in Davis Cup ties while playing local (He played Davis Cup many times....

This are the last news: - Confirmed: Gaudio won´t play Davis Cup. He is hurt in his left abdominal muscle. He may need 3 weeks off court, it is not known yet..... That´s sad because he may not be able to play in Indian Wells..... - He did it again: Mariano Puerta defeated again (last week in Buenos Aires) Carlos Moyá in the mexican open 4-6, 6-3 and 6-4 in aproximately two hours!!!!! Congratulations Mariano ;D ;D. This is what I call a great comeback: final in Buenos Aires and now this great victory again in Mexico!!! ;D (although I´m sad for Carlos. , he´s a nice guy) - Three argentine players in quarter finals in Mexico: Puerta will play against Mantilla, Cañas against Nadal and Calleri against Novak. Good luck!
