Incredible match!!!! I was falling asleep in the begginning of the 3rd set, but what happened didn´t let me sleep!!! ;D ;D ;D And it finished in the 5th set with a TB!! ;D This kid is really something!! With both knees injured, in a surface that is not the one where he`s invencible, and against an incredible player came back from 2 sets down... It`s a really deserved title for Rafael. Nice match P.S.: Sorry..., I might be overreacting (?), but I really enjoyed the match and I like when players give it all.

WHAT A MATCH.
NOone else except Rafa in his home town could have come back from 2 sets down and beat a player playing that well. I'd like to say marat but he would'nt care if he is 2 sets down.
What a player rafa is truly going to be a great and it is an honour to watch him. I can not wiat until shanghai, it's gonna be awesome.

That's a nice photo of Rafa and Ivan. Doesn't matter if you are fan or not of Nadal, the guy fights to the end and that's always good to see a player who never gives up no matter what the score.
I'm starting to really like watching him play. And I've been reading about Federer and Rafa they have become good friends evidently. After Rafa won Madrid Roger went to Rafa's hotel room to congratulate him and they speak on the phone also so definetly they are good friends now.

Good for them ;D And I think Ivan will remember that final for as long as he lives....him not winning it might be a crucial point in him not going to Shanghai....in order to go he has to win Bercy now....and Kolya has to lose everywhere really early....anything could still happen but I pray Kolya beats Ivan to it

Nadal joins Paris absentees list
Rafael Nadal has joined a list of high-profile absentees from next week's Paris Masters that includes world number one Roger Federer. Nadal, who won his fourth Masters title of the year in Madrid last week, is nursing a knee injury.
Federer has a torn ankle ligament that also puts his appearance at the end-of-season Masters Cup in doubt.
Marat Safin and Andre Agassi are also out, and Lleyton Hewitt is doubtful as he awaits the birth of his first child.
American Andy Roddick looks set to be the only top-six player in the field at the season's final Masters Series event

Hey didnt really know where to put this but thought you wud be interested: this is what rafafuturewife said in MTF "OK guys...These are pictures of Rafael Nadal with some girl at the club "Kapital" in Madrid...A girl claims her friends were there, who are HUGE Marat fans, and saw this girl was DASHA...They have met her several times and even asked her that night if it was her....She said Yes..... WHat do you think??? Is it Dasha? At first I thought "no way!" But looking at it more, I dunno...It's looking like her... The article says they were VERY much together that night.... Marat will just LOVE this..." So wat do people think? i've gotta admit, i was surprised to hear this but sort of questioning whether this is actually true, it could be a load of gossip! Personally, i don't think it's her, the picture is black n white and is blurry. Really dont no what to think If anyone could translate the text that would be great!

I cannot be sure....it's too blurry....and there's no mention of the name of the woman in the article referring to her as Dasha or Daria...and i mimagine she is sort of popular so they would definitely name her if it was indeed her..you know what i mean?

Nadal forced out again by injury
French Open champion Rafael Nadal has withdrawn from next month's Chennai Open as he struggles to overcome a persistent foot injury. The 19-year-old Spaniard first sustained the problem in the Madrid Masters final in October and withdrew from the Masters Cup in November.
He was expected to return in Chennai but doctors have advised against it.
Nadal must now prepare for the first Grand Slam of 2006, the Australian Open, starting on 15 January.
World number nine Ivan Ljubicic will replace Nadal in the 32-man draw for the Chennai event, which starts on 2 January.
The 2005 season was a highly productive one for Nadal, who won 10 titles.
"Both my medical team and I have been working very hard during the last few weeks so that I could participate at Chennai," he said.
"But my doctor has now recommended that I don't play and it's my misfortune that I can't make it."
Meanwhile, the talented left-hander has donated $25,000 (£14,450) towards a relief fund in Chennai for victims of the tsunami.
