I'm even more nervous than the day I scrubbed in a cranioctomy, but I'M CALM PEOPLE!!!!!!!! not willing to kill or shoot, I'M PERFECTLY CALM!!!!!!!!!!!!

Fed wins 63 76 64 Irregardless of the result today (he was playing Fed after all), we can't forget Marat won 5 matches - in a row - this tournament. A Grand Slam tournament. On grass. Beating Fognini, Djokovic, Seppi, Wawrinka and Lopez. Given the start to the year, those wins, good play and positive fist pumps were welcome sights to see. One step at a time. Hopefully he can translate it to the summer swing.

3-6, 6-7, 4-6
IT SEEMED TO ME THAT MARAT WASN'T DOING BAD.
JUST THAT TIEBREAKER AFFECTED HIS MOMENTUM.
WELL DONE, MARATIK!!!!! YOU CAN PLAY ON GRASS!!!!!!
AND CONGRATS TO MAESTRO!!

Marat didn't play that badly today. He served quite well but just couldn't do it on the important points.
Well done on a great tournament, Safin.

Chin up Big Yin - it was a great run. The match was pretty close and that was good to see. Get some rest and then get your 2008 season on a roll.
Very, very proud of you. We all are. X!
Fairy Godmother
PS Glad to see you ignored my comment re the racquet. That was quite a smash. LMAO.

very proud of my hbibi, nervousness lost you! hope he'll keep some of this confidence this summer! will miss ya so much until washington starts! A WIMBY SEMIFINAL!!!!!! :Dwe were never asking for that much! :Plol! at least he went into the history as the first man playing under the russian flag to reach it! Dina, what do you mean "until washington starts"? I checked Marat's OS. He is playing Bastad, Rogers, Cincy, LA, Washington and then US OPEN.

it was his first time on such a big stage against such a big opponent for a while, thats the reason I think he lost. I'm sure as he gets more big wins and moves up the rankings, he'll be ready to take on Federer and defeat him, a grand slam win in the near future is possible. I think he's ready to capture his best form, and when he does and plays consistently he will beat Federer in their meetings. the hard court season should go well.
