he needs to play challenger to get some comfort level on court, and get rid of some of the shakiness and build his mental confidence and gives him enough match practice to work on his serve and unforced error. and then he can enter the major tournaments. there is no shame in that. it will show his willingness to improve. it will help him make a comeback. to get his comeback. match practice can only be got by playing and winning some matches in a row. playing challengers will be good practice to iron out the kinks of his game. and put him on the road to finding his full form.

2. Thank GOD I was shattered and went to bed after the first set... I just don't know anymore....this rollercoaster of sheer brilliance and utter crap every three seconds drives me insane.

Well, for what it's worth I don't think we should be too hard on the boy. It ain't easy going out there knowing that you're under the spotlight day in day out. And yes, it was the same for Wawrinka out there, but he ain't under the same degree of scrutiny.
The Big Yin wasn't playing particularly badly in the first set - although I thought he should have taken it 6-3 at least (think Wawrinka's face showed that too), but the old self-belief worry kicked in. I was pleased to see him showing off at the net though. LMAO.
I wouldn't have thought such a late start would be a help either - and no crowd. Ah well, it's over now. Hope he doesn't get too down and just gets his head together and focuses on the next match.
His Fairy Godmother will be assuming prime coaching position in June. Between us, we'll get you some brill grass-court matches for you ... In the meantime, focus Big Yin ... And give us all something to smile about. Including you!

In 2007 he played 6 times in his big bird outift and WON 2 & LOST 4 - 33% Win In 2007 he played 8 times in Black and WON 5 & LOST 3 - 63% Win In 2007 he played 7 times in White and WON 4 & LOST 3 - 57% Win In 2007 he played 5 times in Blue and WON 4 & LOST 1 - 80% Win Lastly he played 17 times in Green and WON 8 & LOST 9 - 47% Win. Im really sad should be concentrating on my geography work. Ill just say the colours tell u everything! |
