Well, well, well: i saw yesterday's and I saw today's match as well. I think that the difference between the two matches was that he actually believed that he can beat Malisse, but did not believe that he can take out Ferrer. I know that it is all suppositions, but well, what else can we do other than speculate really... Ferrer played quite poorly actually (and ironically I think he did not play too well in Valencia either, but fought well.) The first set's statistics were something unbelievable: Ferrer - 13 UE and 1 winner and Marat 31 UE and 6 winners. Ferrer won 35 points in total in the first set, out of which 31 were actually Marat's UE! I was very happy there were no commentators, I was anyway not happy with what was happening in front of me, so it really helped I was not forced to listen to critics as well On a different note, Marat looks pretty much depressed and hence depressing. He looked kinda sad in yesterday's interview, despite the rather good win he had - that makes me think even more that he did not believe he can beat Ferrer. Sadly, he might have had his changes had he played like yesterday at least. Last, on another different note, i like the current skinny big lipped brunette - I know it's been said she's not his gf, but nevertheless she was nice both yesterday and today cheering on him there. The idealistic (and imature kid) in me still thinks he needs something to motivate and cheer him up in life and I'm thinking the right woman might be one of the very few things that could make a comeback possible for him - you may all laugh now Thanks for your report as I couldn't see the match. I agree with you about the right woman. Many will disagree, but I (strangly enough) think he needs some more happiness in his life. Although I really don't know what is going on in his private life, but let's accept the information we do have, he hasn't found some 'happiness' in tennis the past year(s).. maybe he needs 'somebody' to cheer him up, like you said Yarina. I don't know.. and how could I? I mean, we don't know what's happening in his head and personal life. We can only guess, I guess .

The woman, I meant.. sorry, now I read it back it's sounds totally different. What I mean is some people think other stuff should bring his tennis 'back'. I think a woman will help, but others might disagree ! I wish Marat all the happiness of the world! ;D

Tssk. Just watched the match - Big Yin, I'm disappointed. Why? Where did yesterday's self-control go? You would have beat Ferrer if you'd stayed focused.\ Damn it, your temper's getting worse then mine when I lose control! ;D Put today's match firmly out of your mind and get that brain in gear for the next tournament. As for the raquet smashing routine ... you know my thoughts on that. Now go stand in a corner. It's the last tantrum I'm allowing you this season. And go shave.

8th Match Point's a charm: Igor finally gets past Almagro 75 46 64 in 2 1/2 hours ;D Prime example that scores can be deceiving: Rafa's 64 61 win took an hour and 45 mins 1st QF set: Rafa v Ferrer ..... 2nd QF set: Igor v Nikolay

David Ferrer won at least. So Marat is maybe no too diappointed that he lost yesterday. By the way, David Ferrer is a very good player, espacially on clay. Marat, cheer up! In hmaburg you will celebrate your biggest comeback ;D

Who broadcasts? I mean, which channel? Hopefully something else than Sport1.. I don't have that, but hopefully will, soon! Yeap, it's Sport 1 (.1- 1.7 ) and they're showing almost every match played on the centre court and 1 or 2 other courst... very much fun and great value for money They showed the match yesterday eve again and i stayed up to watch it All i can say is that i love to torture myself OMFG, what a horrible match that was
