Good luck today Big Yin. I'm in interviews all day so probably won't get to catch up on the scores until it's all done and dusted. Get out of the blocks quickly and dominate the play at the outset. Don't let him get fired up at the start. And think of your poor girls that are sitting in their exams. The last thing they need is to be worrying about the score. LOL.
PS Good to see his mum has got the whites out of the laundry. Good preparation for Wimbledon.

Like you Mary I will be working all through the match so will have to catch the score as and when.
Good luck with exams Dina and Sabz - I'm sure you'll do brilliantly. Don't stress too much.
BTW Dina - is the Fan Fic writing a good stress release during exams? It certainly makes a good read for the rest of us. Looking forward to next chapter when I get home from work/study.

I am so sad......
Marat lost again another could've won match, 6-2, 6-7(9), 4-6......... He had so many match points in the tiebreak but finally couldn't grab it.
The 3rd set, he was down 0-3 and then fought back to level it up to 4-4 and again, got broke at the 10th game.
Keep going Marat. Monte Carlo is coming soon!!

Dissapointed to say the least!
Marat had 3MP and didnt take them it was like Vliegen in MC last year - i suppose it can be said that he shouldve won in 2 sets but maybe it was just another frustrating day for Marat at the office.
He cant afford to take another setback as next week big points are on the line - to boost his ranking and try and attempt to go to Beijing!
TOUGH LUCK MARAT!

C'mon, tomorrow is another day, it doesn't matter how much time it takes, the main thing is to build up real confidence and get all your things back!!!!!!!!!! don't depress people!

I also got to check the scores just as Haase had a match point in a break from my studying - I was watching the screen and then someone came to talk to me. Next thing I see is that Marat has lost. Looks from points won and lost that it was pretty close, but first serve percentage was quite low. Does anyone know if it was windy or if he was just tight in the shoulder?
Anyway, let's forget the bad result and move on. Monte Carlo next. Hope he feels good there and confident.
We all wish him good vibes for next week.

hmm, had a feeling this might happen followed the score boards - and as soon as he squandered 3 MPs and lost the TB i knew he wouldnt win (not usually the pessimist) heres hoping the draw will be kind to him in MC and he manages to find some luck there!! Here is a little report about the match from the ATP website: Dutchman Robin Haase extended the struggles of Russian Marat Safin as he saved three match points in the tie-break of the second set to post his first career win over the former World No. 1, 2-6, 7-6(9), 6-4. Safin won their previous meeting last August in the Washington second round, which is the last time he reached a quarterfinal.
Safin snapped a five match losing streak in ATP-level main draw action when he defeated another former World No. 1, Juan Carlos Ferrero, in his first round match. He falls to a 3-7 record for the season with his only other wins coming in his first round match at the Australian Open (d. Gulbis), and last week in Davis Cup play (d. Berdych).
Haase, 21, advances to his third quarterfinal of the season, having reached this stage in Chennai, Rotterdam and Zagreb. Last month, after winning the Challenger title in Sunrise, he moved up to a career-high ranking of No. 59.

Keech (a Scottish word for shite -a gutteral 'ch'). Big Yin, we need a chat about tiebreaks. Apologies for the vulgarity, borne out of frustration. 3 mps? Ah well, with any luck it will have pissed him off more than us.
As well it should. Tssk. Make up for it in Monte Carlo Big Yin.
