WOW!! SaFRaFaHoLiC, you sure captured some great pix..if not the greatest! They're so clear! My pix actually using my friend's cam, didn't turn out great. Now I really need to buy a super-great digital camera to capture those great moments. I was at AO watching the Safin match on Wednesday, sat second row to the front at Vodafone. But friend's cam flat early during match of safin vs sela. OMG!! Wasted so many opportunities to capture marat pix. I was also there for the roddick vs safin match, but our seats were like really far away. Almost non-existent, but I just wanted to be there to show my support despite crappy seats.
Kooyong was great too! But twice the camera failed on me.. but overall, my first tennis experience watching Marat live, and it was a truly awesome experience. As long as he comes back to Melbourne next year, I'll be there to watch.

yay, im glad you had a great time. last year i didnt have a great camera, so wanted to get a good one to take great shots of marat and rafa, so glad i did. I took over 500 pics lol, so was hard to pick wich to put on here

Yeah learning from this year, I will be more prepared. Yeah I saw Nadal trained during the two days that I went. I only went on the days that Marat was playing, Mon, Wed and Thurs. Glad didn't have to put up with the wacky 38 degree weather on day 2 Tuesday, where half the matches had to be delayed.
I also went to Kooyong on the Wednesday and it was super-hot but I put up with the weather all because I wanted to see Marat in action. Unfortunately didn't see the entire match, only the first two as I went undercover and waited where the players entered and exited the stadium and there again, I saw Marat, I swear he was literally walked passed, but like i mentioned before, my friend's cam batt went flat at the most crucial moment. OMG!! But there's always next year.
You're so lucky you got to take a lot of close up shots of Marat. You had one of the best seats in the house.

DAY 7 Slept in today, and got a txt from Di to say she is heading on down and i txt her back to say i have just woken up so will be there just after 11am. I get there and txt Di to ask where she is, she txt back to say court 3 watching Dima. So off i go to court 3 and look in to see that Hantuchova is playing, surly Dima's game not over yet so i go look on the board to see if he on another court, and sure enough he playing on show court 2 ( Di wanted him all to herself). So off i go again to watch Dima and walk into the side where all the Tomas Berdych army are cheering, and I'm like "hell no, am i sittin here" so i start to leave and see Di on the other side with her camera out. So i go to where she is, which is right behind Dima's chair and i pull out my Russian flag and my camera and start clicking away, Dima didn't look happy, i really think he should have retired instead of keep on playing. So anyway, me and Di are watching Dima when this girl with a Russian hat and bangles with the Russian colors cames and sits by us and ask if we cheering for Dima, we said yes and she asked if she could join us, and we are like, of course and she introduces herself as Hellan, pixievodka from TGFR and i say "I'm Anushka" and shes like "OMG Anushka from tgfr" and I'm like "yep, one of them anyway"and shes like "OMG, OMG", she made me feel famous LMAO ( thanks Hellan) and Di introduces herself and it's one big happy TGFR family ( minus 1,486). So anyway Dima not doing to well, trainer comes out and at this stage I'm thinking,* I'm so close and i want his towel, will save me $50, I'm gonna do it, I'm gonna ask him for his towel when the game ends, which is gonna be real soon* And soon it was, poor Dima, so he comes over to his chair and i yell "Dima" and he looks up (such nice eyes)," can i have your towel please" and he threw it to me, but not quite hard enough, so the security guy gave it to me, wanted him to sign my flag to, but didn't wanna ask him for to much, he did just lose. So Di and Hellan are all wanting to touch the towel and being the nice person that i am, i let them, and Di is talking about rights to it during the holidays ( back off blondie)  I'm like yeah, we will see about that.  After watching Dima, me and Di, along wif Hellan wanted to cash in our night tickets cause we didn't wanna watch Fed, so we went and did that then went to check out wat was happening at Voda Phone arena, but it was abit boring and all i was doing was checking out my pic on my camera and showing the girls and Di showed me how i could zoom in on the pics and me zoomed in on Rafa's famous ass and of course Marats ( mmmmm yummy). Sick of being bored, we left and went and watched the last of Andy and Ancic's game( which i wanted Ancic to win) on the big screen and Di got abit cold and asked if she could use the towel to warm her up lol, (yeah right Di, good excuse) ::)and of course i let her, then they both wanted pics with the towel ( which btw girls, u should post) so thought i might as well get one to, good excuse to get my hands back on the towel, anyway Ancic lost in a very good game, and we moved on to go watch Dinara play doubles, was a good game till it started to rain and the players had to go off So i ask if we wanna go see anyone else, but all of us were tired and just wanted to go home, so we all went to catch the tram and said our goodbyes (was so nice to meet you Hellan) and went our separate ways, me with my towel and them without |

Must confess, the 1st moment when u introduced, i instantly think " Mrs Rafa" then TGFR (sorry admits  , hope I won't get wiped out LOL) ;D Either the world is too small or this website is too wonderful!!!!!! ;D..... Just letting you all know not gonna add anymore to my report, the rest is just all about Rafa, and me getting chatted up in the taxi line and asking if i wanted company for the night and getting his business cards lmao. And another funny thing is,(and Di had a good laugh), when Rafa playing Gonzo, and him bout to lose, I yell out "COME ON BABE", lmao (bit of fan fic becoming reality lol) and Di just looked at me and laughed. Lucky for me that there was lots of people yelling and Rafa and others didnt hear me ;D, OMG, I would have died if they did. So thats AO over for another year  , i had such a great time, didnt wanna come home. I got to see my 2 hotties, meet Di and Hellan ;D and got some awesome pics, which I got some developed yesterday and did me up an album ;D So till next year |
