China Open Report, Beijing 2004

I've been waiting for China Open for almost one year after the promotion marat did last year in beijing.
And about a couple of weeks before the tournament i started to order the tickets and look for vip tickets.Finally,i got two VIP tickets.
Septerber 15th,i went to the center court that afternoon. when i entered the tnnies park in suburb of beijing i saw lots of people crowded aroud a piece of court. i screamed out as soon as i realized that's marat was training before the first ground. all the flashes of cameras are from girls. that's just a routine training before the match,but marat seemed to be very concerntrated on that. i have to say there was nothing special about that training.i belive most of the marat fans had that kind of experences. but in China ,we have seldom chance to see marat,so fans were almost insane when marat was trying get out the court. i tried to get into the players' restroom, but failed! that bodyguard are too strong and unfriendly! when i felt frustrated i saw marat's new coach, Peter Lundgren. i ran to him asking if he could help me get the signature of marat. i thought that was a picec of cake for him ,and it turned out it was!! at last i got a ball with marat's signature.
i gave up watching the match in center court because marat was gonna play next. so i figured he should have finished his dinner staying in his restroom at that time. i got into the players section easily because of my VIP passport. there were bodyguards in black clothes in the aisle and there wasn't player's name sticking on the door. i asked a girl who standing in front of a door who it is there .she said that was carlos moya, and marat was in the room next to carlos. then i waited for him just outside his rest room.when i chatted with the girl who are waiting for Juan carlos fererro, Peter came in .that's why i got the tennis ball with siganture of marat(although he lost my marker!). peter refused my request of taking pic with marat because he was gonna play.
when marat was preparing his match in his restroom ,it began to rain. marat's match was postponed. he came out of his restroom to check the court. when he opened that door , all of persons were silent.nobody talked. i don't know why. they just watching marat in admire sights. "can i take a picture with you ?"i asked eagerly
"sure ,come on"he is so kind and friendly beyond my imagination! he took picture with me and the girl who were waiting for Juan carlos. i won't foget how kind he is !
that rain was really heavey that day. all the people were waiting for the decision from ATP officials.i rambled around in the players' area being curious about everything. i suddenly realized the live of a professional play is very dull and lack of freedom. i ran into Peter Lundgren again at the exit. i thanked him about the helping .then we started a little chat. at that time i didn't realize he is the person who used to be the coach fo Roger Federro. i just thought he was kind of familiar,but i can't remember. we chatted about the professional lives of players ,marat's mental problem and the US open of this year etc. he is friendly and nice.he said he is trying to let marat be less emotional and more concerntrated on his career.
it turned out he and marat did it !marat didn't smash one recket in China open so far and seemed maturer than before. he played two game in septeber 16th,while won easily againest Kevin Kim and Wu hao from China. today he got into the final .iam really happy for him. he is going to Houston this year.
according to these experences during China open ,i found i love marat more than brfore. although most of my friends think he is bad-tempered,arrogent,and not even that handsome, i think he is the perfect man in the world. because he is real man! he dose anything he wants! he knows how to live and enjoy life. more importantly he is the kindest one in the world!
