Davis Cup Final 2002: Russia v France

Maybe you know it, maybe you dont, but last week-end I was in BERCY!!! for 3 days of very good tennis (it cant be bad when there is Marat hehe) France vs Russia
It was sooooo great, I'll never forget it...
Marat played really really well, like the world number one he should be (instead of that crappy Hewitt pfff ) Everybody around me was impressed (except that girl who was saying "too much power kills the game" - C'mon girl!!! You are watching the best player of the world and you complain??!! Whats wrong with you?? Well at the end she cried , bien fait voila!! )
The 1st day I didn’t see the first games because I had classes in the morning and my school is closer to roland garros than to bercy hehe There is nothing much to say about that day except: "does anyone know where was kafel? And in the 1st set of the doubles too?"
In the first set it was Safin 'alone' vs his "friend" Santoro (le magicien lol) and his friend Escudé. I was so depressed when Russia lost... I don’t know what happened, my brain probably misworked , but I asked Llodra for an autograph (??!!) and I talked to Santoro's father who was his wife and Grosjean's father... Can u believe it?
? Santoro's father!!! Im so ashamed!!!!
The following day I was a lil bit worried even if I knew Marat's better than Seb (but with him you never know what can happen so...) but after the first game ("break d'entrée") it was obvious he would win 2-2! (he played like a God!)
After the match I saw Santoro's mother again and suddenly who was just in front of me? Amit Naor with a big smile on his face!!! (<-like that). Im very shy (soo soooo shy ) but I decided to talk to him. I found him very very nice; I said "Excuse me, are you Safin's coach?", he put his hand on my shoulder (a bit like Marat with a player he just beat) and answered: "I was"(in l'Equipe they said his new coach is Golovanov, but I think you know it), "Congratulate him", "yeah he played really well", "he is the best!", "yeah"... And guess who was with him... Katya! (well im not sure it was her coz her nipples weren’t out ). She was talking with someone on the phone (in french if I remember!) and then she gave the phone to Amit. They were probably planning the party hihi
Then "the Junior match" - as Marat said – started. After the second set I thought it was over... but the miracle happened! Misha found his game, he wasn’t missing any shot anymore, it was incredible... when Marat came back on the Russian bench he took his time to eat a sandwitch and then started to cheer for Misha, to make noise with his "trumpet" (lol!), to say "do this, do that", to talk to Tarpi... and it seemed to be efficient!!!
At the match point I couldn’t believe it!! Such a great come back!!! A typical Davis Cup final! All the Russian team went on the court, Kafel danced with Marat (really funny lol), they did "un tour d"honneur" with their flag .... Russia had finally won the Davis Cup ! Marat had a big big smile (and he was even more sexy ). Poor Paulo , it was so sad to see him cry like that, but Marat - who is really fair play - tried to comfort him (I love the photo in l'Equipe)
I almost cried when Marat took his mother in his arms ; he was sooo happy and Rausa looked so proud of her son...
They received there medals and the cup. Guy Forget was almost crying when he made his speech and Tarpi said Paris is Russians' second fav city (after Moscow) hehe. I would have liked to hear Marat say something in Russian (how do you say "better than sex" in Russian? hehe) Marat drank Champagne (or whatever it was) in the Davis Cup It was party time . One of those big yellow balloons was falling on him and that made him laugh (omg!!!! So gorgeous! )
Dinara had a lil problem with the security, they didn’t want to let her go back on the court, poor lil girl, she was probably saying something like "C'mon let me go there, I'm Safin's sister!" but that guy didn’t want to listen to her and behind him everybody started to try to find Marat, I would have laughed so much if he had had to come and say with a big voice: "Do you have a problem with my sister??!!!", he's way taller than the security agent haha (au fait speciale dedicace a la securite qui vers 10h20 nous a viré de Bercy alors qu'on attendait tous et toutes –enfin surtout toutes- alors qu'on attendait pour un autographe ou un sourire grrrr ) Oh I forgot to say there was a guy with Mischa's racket (I think it was that, I don’t understand Russian hehe) and all the Russians were screaming "Misha, Misha!!" "Zhenia, Zhenia!!" "Marat, Marat!!"
I heard Gerard on the radio who said - in a perfect French - he had never seen Marat like that before, with such a big determination, playing so well and all....
