heya, for you guys that weren't able to be there i'll just give you a quick run down of form. today he sewrved well, i don't know the percentages but his first serves were pretty effective and his second serves were much better than thursday-i think that lack of gale force winds helped that! his backhand was again very solid and his forehand a bit improved. his movement was good, though when he had unforced errors off the forehand it was mainly because his right leg didn't get in the best place-it sometimes seemed very solid and in consequence he couldn't always get in the best spot to hit the ball. his volleys were again excellent and even though there was a bit of court chatter he seemed relaxed and confident during the game, not getting rattled by break points or the break that he lost in the third game.
so he should be feeling very good for what looks like a relatively fear-free first round opponent for the aussie! ps.i liked the white much better!

Well done Big Yin. The result I expected. Good to hear that the volleys are excellent - mixing up the shots more now will prove useful. On the 'solid' leg, he could do with being up a bit more on the toes. 'Scottish Andy' bounces around a lot on his feet - gives that added second of reach and easier repositioning. All in all though, a great Kooyong for the boy. Very proud of what he's doing. And a pat on the back for the number of shirtless pics for the girls. ;D Don't underestimate the first round opponent. Keep on the aggressive play from the start, and keep those shoulders up. And keep drinking your milk. Your bags of birdseed are in the post. Cybercoach
