Many people have the same problem here.... Sometimes when we come to the MB it says "Too many connections". I have no idea what's the reason coz it happens even when there's only one user... But it starts to be a bit annoying so I just thought that maybe you can help us Ruth....

Sorry Magda, there's nothing I can do  It's a proboards thing: I'm not sure if the TGFR message board has too many connections (a lot of people read the board before logging in, so they're listed as guests or 'invisible') or if proboards 'central' has too many people connecting to all it's boards. It only seems to happen at around 6-8pm (GMT) and then later at around 10-11pm (GMT) and that's usually when 'the whole gang' is online, chatting and PM-ing. I personally have never had it happen during the rest of the day. So I think it's TGFR getting a little too popular ;D I figure everyone has finished work/school/homework etc and is going online for some Marat related R&R, (Results & Rants  ) gossip and......general conversation stuff all at the same time. It's cool that TGFR is a little chill-out zone for Marat fans. But I guess we'll have to be paitent and just wait for everyone to connect in turn. I'm so sorry there's nothing I can do, because it's really annoying, I know |

okay Ruth, thanks. Though I thought it was really weird coz in the afternoon everything works fine even though there are more members than in the evening sometimes. But like you said, there's nothing you can do, so we just have to live with that. It is annoying but it won't stop us from comming here ;D (at least not me ;D).

Hi Ruth,
I get it a fair bit from home on this one and I have a very slow dial up connection. Sometimes I disappear to do some stuff with Boards I moderate, other times I can not get on the Board.
I think it's a bandwidth restriction as I don't seem to have it on other service providers except occassionally Geocities sites. Geocities is a known b/w restriction..
