Andriy is a Blue, Kaka, black and red, welcome to TGFR's football thread. ;D
Since a certain Mr. Shevchenko has made a noted appearance on TGFR as the mysterious Champagne Man, and people seemed very appreciative of his cameo in the Drool Thread ;D
It got us to thinking that there are a lot of people who like footie on this site. We had a thread for the World Cup so we figured might as well go for it.
This is a thread for all things footie.
Discuss domestic leagues, no matter how obscure, Champions League,UEFA Cup, Euro 2008 qualifiers and any other competition.
Talk about your favorite players, transfer rumours, bad referees, what ever you like.
Whether you call it, football, fussball, calcio, futebol, futbol, or soccer, this is the place to talk about it.
;D ;D ;D

They are still going strong in Champions League though, having drawed with Barcelona last week 2-2 (Andrey didn't play and was sad just sitting and watching ) Here are the most recent standings after the Champs League playoffs ;D ;D ;D www.uefa.com/competitions/ucl/Standings/index.htmlNext matches will take place November 21-22, 2006

You're right. Ricky has better hair and better teeth LMAO. Definite cute factor.
Him and Andriy made the best team. I can remember so many matches where they pratically carried Milan, just the two of them.
Those were the good old days. *sigh* but you never know. I heard a rumour a while ago that Milan were seriously considering makin a move to bring him back.
Adriano Galliani said that the door would always be open. So *shrug*
and if Roman's divorce bankrupts him and he has to sell Chelsea...well who knows.

Great idea Bia, we needed a thread about football. ;D ;D ;D Well, this weekend I was happy that Tottenham beat Chelsea, because one of Bulgarian stars is playing there - Dimitar Berbatov. As Sheva is injured, I could cheer for Mitinko without compunction. ;D ;D ;D I miss Sheva and Kaka playing together, and as Bia said there are rumours....I hope these rumours are true and they will play together very soon.

Arnold backs 'bigger and better' Kewell
Friday November 3, 11:31 AM Socceroos coach Graham Arnold says he is not concerned by news that Australian and Liverpool star Harry Kewell will be out of action for several more months.
Kewell has admitted he will probably be out of action until February as he recovers from groin and foot surgery.
Arnold said he would rather Kewell fully recover from his injuries than return too soon and risk further injury.
"He's such a mentally tough player in that he can go through the pain barrier," he said.
"He's been doing that for two years and I think [now] he sees himself that he's not giving everything that he's got at Liverpool because he's been restricted.
"So he's having everything done at once and I'm sure you'll see Harry come back bigger and better than ever."
Arnold also said he believed his performances in the top job so far, including last month's draw with Paraguay, showed he was good enough to hold the job permanently.
Arnold has flown to England for Australia's friendly against Ghana in London later this month and said he was keen to take on the role full-time.
"I think I've shown that I can handle the job," he said.
"The way the players played against Paraguay especially wasn't too much difference to what we played before that so I am enjoying it."

Kewell has been so unlucky with injuries it's untrue. Seems like everytime he comes back he get hurt again. Reminds me of Woodgate like that.

Paul Gascoigne held over assault Paul Gascoigne is being questioned by officers Ex-England football star Paul Gascoigne has been arrested on suspicion of causing actual bodily harm. The 39-year-old midfielder was held in South Kensington, west London, in the early hours. He was arrested after a 43-year-old man alleged that he had been assaulted at a nightclub in the area.
