Had a movie marathon today! ;Dwatched both DVC and XMEN Da Vinci Code: pretty good..dragged on in some bits but overall really good.pretty sure everyone knows what its about so won't bore you there..Helps if you understand french and IMO the book was better.. 8/10 XMEN 3-The Last Stand:AWESOME!! A lot of people die in this movie but I cried almost twice!!there are some really sad bits so bring tissue A lot of action..pity there isnt going to be an xmen 4 ,but there will be 'Wolverine' in 2007 which continues Wolverine's story ;D.If you watch this stay back to watch the credits..there is a last scene after all the credits which will make you [glow=red,2,300]SQUEAL!![/glow]9/10 Okay, bored you enough..take my word for it tho..WATCH THEM TWO MOVIES!!

a few more films which i think are worth seeing 1.silding doors-very interesting story 2.the murder of crows -great film & great cuba gooding jr. ;D 3.jerry maguire-the main love story is not too convincing, but again, cuba gooding jr. his wife and the kid in the movie are brilliant 4.stigmata & ressurection 5.the berber of siberia-a spectacle-very enjoyable 6.titanic-i know most poeple hate this movie, but i think it's a great one and not because of the love story :Psome scenes are just 7.sweet november & french kiss-both are interesting, funny, although the first one is a little sad 8.the great expectations-i really like this movie,it's so different, and i like that "green" atmosphere.. 9.monsun wedding-one more film with an optimistic view of life...very colorful and interesting because gives you a chance to discover something new okey, done!! ;D

Greatest romantic date movie: "Say anything" (badly underrated).
My favorite vampire movie: "Near dark"
And what about the Mexican "Amores Perros", the Danish "Brothers", the Korean "Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance" and the never-understood "Donnie Darko"?
For Annie and Marat: "Lord of War" (I'm not a Nicholas Cage fan but I love this utterly sarcastic and desillusioned movie, much better than the more politically correct "Syriana").

Watched "Crash" on Saturday, the Best Picture Oscar movie of 2006. Good film but still have no idea why it is the Best Picture "Constant Gardener" is very very good. Crash was a good movie (i don't think its the best) but from the bunch was the one that had a meanning. It is something that happens everyday in america. Racism is a big thing here and you see it everyday, some poeple decided not to pay atenttion to it but thats thier choice. Comming from another coutry ans iteracting with so many cultures I can see whats going on on the movie and many of those stuff has happeed to my friends and family soo...the big deal was because being something so real and normal, and it hasn't been addressed in any movie makes it stupid. Its an awakening to America "the salad bowl". The DVC was ok...yeah ok... I read the book and it was disapointing because I expected so much more, to go in more in details but it didn't happen. It was one of the best books I ever read but not nessesaril the best movie I have ever seen. There are other books that are made into movies that live up to the book. X-MEN ROCKS! no need 2 say more. NO ANISTON MOVIES 4 ME EVER! I saw "friends with money' It was a good nap...a/c popcorn smell, cozy chair, quiete movie and she looks exactly the same and does the same in every movie. I also saw the break up with her and the guy from wedding crashers....same thing, a couple going at it. They couldn't decide on the theme...if to make it funny, romantic, or put it all toguether....If shes in it I'm not watching it! Over the Hedge! is a movie for kids, with Bruce Willis as one of the voices...love it, so cute! Thats it for now...gotta go watch more movies! anyone?

Watched "Crash" on Saturday, the Best Picture Oscar movie of 2006. Good film but still have no idea why it is the Best Picture My theory: They didn´t have the guts to give the Best Movie Award to Brokeback Mountain... Great movie, IMHO...

Totally agree Lau....and the fact that they gave Lee Oscar for Best Director just proves it It is obviously much more politically correct to give the Best Picture to the movie about racism than the one about a love affair of two gay cowboys. But then again...Oscar is famous for its choices... I will never forget the year when "The English Patient" had won an Oscar...I couldn't believe it!!!!! Because "Shine" with Geoffrey Rush was also nominated that year and its 1000 times more powerful IMHO.... BBM was a great movie and as much as I never really liked Gyllenhaal or Ledger, they did a brilliant job!!!! Michelle Williams was also quite impressive but then I have always liked her after Dawson's Creek ;D ;D ;D

Sorry to disagree but I don't see why the brokeback mountain was a good movie...two guys in a mountain...to me none of them were that good, I mean it really suprised me when I saw crash nominated for best picture (is that the best that came out last year?) I mean when I saw it I lovet it but thats it...
Brokeback mountain was a taboo braking for hollywood but nothing else, it doesn't offer anything amazing new idea on movies...it was ok too, but thats it. What I did like was syrianna and good night and good luck, clooney is definetly a guy to watch
PS: safinette, good to know I'm not the only colombian in here! I thought I was alone.
Oh how can I forget 'MARIA FULL OF GRACE" the colombain actress was nominated last year for it, here in america they made a big fuss about it, probably because they have never seen it, to me thats history that I have read too many time, so sad they make a movie about ones country and only talks about the sad part, but thats the reality so what can we say. It shocked me that she was nominated...I didn't think she was THAT! good, salma deserved that oscar the year before for frida...now thats a movie I like. Have anyone has see this movie?...its about reality.
