I'm at a café, and there's here a russian lady, and she's speaking portuguese! and, omg, she speaks perfectly portuguese and she almost don't have any accent! I don't know how many year she lives here (and I don't know if any of you speaks portuguese), but I can tell you that it's really hard for foreign people to speak portuguese correctly(even for portuguese people is hard, ;D), especially the verbs, and she has doing it! and the accent, is really hard too! and this makes me wonder: how do you, people from east, do this kind of things? I have family in foreign countries, being there for more than 20 years, and they still have the portuguese accent when they speak the foreign language! and I know foreign people, from england and france,..., being here for many many years and they still their accent, not the portuguese one! Funny enough Su at least in what regards the russians I think they have it easier to catch PT sounds because they have many of the same sounds The rest I suppose is hardwork and lots of study ;D Btw I'm portuguese, Alexandra from Lisbon and I think we've met at Estoril... are you Susana from Porto who has a sister who is a fan of David Nalbandian? ;D Anyway, a funny story happened to me another day. I was at a clothe store trying out some new jeans and in the booth next to mine was a russian couple. They were talking and from all they said I understood 2 words: 'Menya = me' and 'Khorosho = well, good'. The woman kept repeting 'menya' a lot and the guy answered back with lot's of 'khorosho' sounding bored each time ;D I guessed she must have been asking how the clothes looked on her and he was saying 'well, fine'. Men and women are alike averywhere RFLMAO!!

Yes, it's me! ;D ;D well, they are smiliar, ur right, but the way of reading words is totally diferent, and that makes a different, they oppen much more the vogals, and our lh nh ôes ães e ãos, are almost impossible to repeat! well, about the russian words, I've already learned them, but not to read it that way, but that's not really important! I have a new hobby! lol! when I'm at my real home ( in Guimarães) I'm always watching RTR Planet, and it's incredible, because I'm always watching and I just understand some words! But it's cool, it's a way to get closer to the language!

Have any of u guys seen this before? An amazing video called "Battle at Kruger", published in May 07 has broken viewing records at YouTube with over 25 million views!! The video sent by Jason275 and shot by the tourist David Budzinski shows a battle between buffalos, lions and crocodiles at the Kruger Reservation in South Africa. Budzinski shot for 8 minutes with a shaky camera a scene most documentaries haven't been able to shoot, as reported by the Guardian Unlimited. At the beginnig of the video a heard of buffalos arrives at the river with a baby buffalo among them. Four lions sneak in and launch an embush capturing the baby buffalo. A small struggle follows in the river where a crocodile joins in trying to snatch the baby buffalo. However the lions manage to hold on to it. See the rest, it's worth it!!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU8DDYz68kM+

Extremely happy Coens got what they deserved, I loved that movie and God Xavier was so creepy!!! But an absolute genius, so I thought that Oscar was well deserved too ;D I found the ceremony itself quite boring and routine to be honest

How do you know this is a small world? When you find this: a494metrosdealtitude.blogs.sapo.pt/25284.htmlI had been reading this blog for a while and liked it so much that I used one of its oneliners as siggy here on TGFR. She obviously found it and decided to dedicate me a post Translation of the first part of the post: "I turn on the TV: a tennis match. How do I know that its Safin or Nadal playing even if their names don't show on the corner of the screen? The heads of every woman watching don't turn to follow the ball, they are fixed on the side of the court they are on. For us they always have advantage." They sure do RFLMAO. Obrigada Clara! ;D
