I mean if she says there's a pink elephant flying in the sky than there IS, just cos she says so, But I got here to admit she was wrong and I was right once, and after that, she's admitted to her being wrong and me being right on several occasions, but only to me though, she still won't admit to anyone else she's wrong and that person's right!! okay again I'll try to get this thread back onto the original topic!! I think a smart high class girl like Dasha who's not a stranger to the fashion world should have known better than to wear that dress ( I know, I keep on saying the same thing but in different words, I can't help it, I'm desperate, I'm running out of ways to get this thread back on topic) -xxx-jes me |

Trompe-l'oeil..... merci girls! See, this is the very reason I never reply en Francais  I think it's funny the way Dasha is wearing an expensive designer dress and Marat is in ripped denim with a cheesy smile....  men are so typical...they are the same all over the world (although the Russian version seems to be better looking for some reason ;D) And I agree - someone needs to burn those combat shorts before Marat commits another fashion crime....... C'mon Dasha, do your duty as a woman! Or maybe she thinks they look great??  Since we're talking about this, I thought I'd mention the difference between Dasha and Silvia in the fashion sense.... Silvia always seemed to dress in a very 'classic' style - she dressed older than she was but always looked immaculate (if a little severe in her choice of colour.... I seem to remember it was usually black and black  ) In Australia, Dasha was a little more relaxed in an old tracksuit or simple shirt.... (I must admit the Gucci dress is a little odd.... ) She looks younger and seems to dress like that. What do you guys think? One thing in common - they must both get cold very easily! Silvia wore black woollen jumpers at Dubai and Dasha wore her thick tracksuit hood up in Australia!  Crazy! One other thing (and I'm probably going to get attacked for this, but......oh well....here goes ) In Australia, Dasha didn't want to be mentioned in the press and she was hiding under her tracksuit hood when she realised the cameras were on her. But as soon as they get back to Moscow, she's taking him to the opening of jewellery stores and posing for photos, talking to journalists......! I don't get it!  (I doubt it was Marat's idea to go to the opening of a jewellery store ) I don't blame her though - I must admit, if Marat was my boyfriend, I'd be showing him off to everyone I know too ;D He's the best accessory for any woman |

Ruth, i don't know about your written French, but you seem to understand it very well I agree that Dasha looks young, although i can't compare with Silvia since i never saw a pic of Silvia... About Dasha's behaviour towards the press, this is how i understand it: during the AO she felt embarrassed being filmed coz it brought the attention on her while Marat played, and she was there to see him play (like the public, like the press normally!), it was Marat that should have got the cameras on him; but in Moscow it was their life as a couple so maybe she felt less hesitant to talk to the press. I don't know, that's just my opinion. |

oh come on Ruth you know it's a woman's prerogative to be fickle!!!! And you're right with Marat being your BF you would want to show off!!!! Maybe at the AO she wanted to create a mysterious atmosphere around herself, knowing very conciously that it would only make everyone talk about her even more, and then after the subject of her being Marat's GF was about to die, she drags him to a jewellery store opening, to get into the news again. Maybe secretly she LOVES all the media attention!!!!
about the whole difference in clothes styles between Sylivia and Dasha, I think I liked Sylvia's clothes better, okay they were black , and black and to bring in some variation she wore some more black, But it looked good on her. mmm and maybe she dressed in black because it's marat's favorite color, I don't know why she dressed in black I'm just guessing here.
and about both of them getting cold easily, Come on Ruth they're just used to Marat's body keeping them warm, they're used to that, but when he's on court he can't keep them warm, but their bodies have become so used to it that they can't keep themselves warm anymore, so they need sweaters and stuff to keep them warm!!!

Okay guys, I think Dasha is only semi-pretty, and if I had to say who was prettier between Dasha and Silvia, then it would be Silvia. But I must point out that in my opinion, Marat doesn't have good taste in women, or clothes. It's kind of sad. What a guy, we stil love him though!

I have to say that I never really put any thought in my previous theory about Dasha, but as I was typing it, it all made sense. It might even be true. well the media attention part, I don't know about the whole being cold because Marat keeps her warm part, but that makes sense too in a weird kinda way, but then again my mind works in a weird way, so to me it all makes sense ;D and Ruth we're not in a bad mood, we're just redheads, that's our excuse. We say what we think, we stand up for our opinion and well that opinion isn't always positive, but it's our opinion, and we're proud of it!! and well if our opinion happens to be negative it might seem to some ppl that we're in a bad mood. But it's just redheads being redheads!!! ;D Wow you can use being a redhead as an excuse for a lot of my behaviour other ppl don't always apreciate!!! good point, me! i guess i really shouldn't be saying these things, because what if dasha logged on?
i was reading this article about Mandy Moore, and she said she logged onto Andy Roddick's site, and all the fans were saying how fake she is and she said his fans were brutal!
so oops! and ordinary girls don't have to look "ordinary", they can look like supermodels too! i know a couple of extraordinarily good looking "ordinary" girls!
