Okay, after a lot of "OMG I don't know how to write it" here it is and again THANK YOU SO MUCH ANNIE for that perfect idea :
Hello Marat! I follow your results since the start of your career and i just want to tell you a huge thanks for everything : victories, humour, awesome talent and such an amazing personality, I can even thank you for the racket crashing ! I wish you all the best for the future ! You have made the tennis so much more interesting since you've come into the light, you've brought your talent and charisma on each court of the world and, for that , there are not enough thank words to express how much we all love you. I know that this year has been tough for you and that sometimes it should be hard to take, but please don't give up because there's a place at the top that is waiting for you, it's just a question of time and confidence. Keep believing in you Marat and don't be too hard with yourself. I'm happy to see that slowly but surely your game is going better and better ! Finally i hope that you'll find happiness in and out of the court because life is not only tennis and you deserve the best off the court too. Lots of kisses and promise to keep the fingers crossed for you ! Carole from a country that will love you forever : France (Paris)

(Annie thanks for this wonderful topic)
Hi Marat !
I just wanted to thank you for everything you do/are/represent. You have made me love tennis through yourself, thanks to your extraordinary skills and charisma, and now I love the sport so much that I will try to become a referee (but not for your matches... too dangerous !!). Please, please don't lose confidence in yourself, even if it's really difficult for you right now. You said once in a interview that your time would come, but please don't put too much pressure on yourself, your fans are ready to wait. Take care of yourself, I hope I'll see you in Bercy, Marie (from France).

Dear Marat, When I read about this message book, my thought about it was "brilliant idea !" and I told myself that with all the time dear Annie gave us I'd manage to write something decent... But alas, the longer I try the worst my writing skills seem... How can I convey the emotions you brought to tennis ? How to explain that all the time I felt like hitting you round the head for testing my nerves so badly are actually mostly good memories ? Should I tell you your antics are as funny as your great shots are beautiful ? I mean, as a teacher I strongly condemn your beeing so hard on the poor umpires, but as a spectator, well, that's another story... (Still, that's really wrong ) And I'd like to bring you some support, too. But should I tell you to keep your chin up and look for better time or should I congratulate you ? Who can tell NOW (3rd or September) what you'll need to read by the time you'll read this ?? You might lose today's match against Nalbandian or win the whole tournament... Mr Unpredictable, ha, well, of course, should have known, can't even resent you... (And the scoreboard is blocked just now... grrr... Do you know I didn't care for scoreboards before ? I used to be content with the matches I could see on TV... Good old times... Well not so good, actually, now's more exciting, you know what I mean...) But it is quite fitting, I guess, that, with you, even a little piece of writing is sweet "Agony and Ecstasy" as someone put it... Ah well, I am no poet or writer, so I might as well tell you this : Allez Marat !!! You make us happy !!! Looking forward to watching many more matches from you, Bises, Lucie, from France.

I hope that you come back to LA so when i ballgirl there i can see you play. See you again next year at the Countrywide Classic and i wish you good luck and that you don't get sick. You are seriously a really hansome guy, and now it is time for me to say my final goodbye!!!

Dear Marat:
Since 2000, I've been admiring you, not only for your talent but also for the attitude, passion, "anger" sometimes, that you showed in courts that makes you unique. I faced your injuries and bad moments in your carrer like some obstacles that sometimes life puts on our way that only makes us stronger. Hope that you are back at the good way. I miss and want to see you again where you belong, the number 1. Enjoy your life and most import, be happy.
Mariana, Portugal

thanks annie for giving everyone including me this chance to have a say!!!!
Dear Marat
I am writing this because if I ever had the pleasure of meeting you I would probably choke on my own saliva or die from over excitement.
So if I did meet you I would probably say something along the lines of …..You have been a fantastic sportsman to watch over the last 8 years and I have thoroughly enjoyed all your wins, tantrums, breaking rackets, interviews and changing shirts!!!!!!!!!
Please keep on fighting for that top ten spot and the next grand slam victory, there are many people behind you and I am only one of many!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Best of luck, love and happiness to you Iman Dorset, United Kingdom

Why you are my favourite player : ;D ;D ;D - your amazing smile with dimples - your backhand - the potbelly party when you’re serving (thank you Adidas and their t-shirts) - your kindness outside of court - your footwork…… euh legwork - your humour - your Russian accent and the fact that your upper lip is only lifting up on one side when you’re talking - your style whether you win or lose - your moaning on court - your pleating socks - your “I just got out of bed” curls - because you always seem to be yourself whatever circumstances - because, luckily for us you’re, unique - because thanks to you, I’m talking to people all over the world - the goatee that suits you really well Kiss Hélène ps: do I have to mention the banana scene – a huge moment of tennis erotism

Hey Marat,
Guess what? Me and about 6 billion other people KNOW that on a good day, you are the most genius player on earth! That’s because we believe in you and understand that being so incredibly talented and being so damn good looking has its ups and downs. But seriously, dont worry too much, because you are magic. Always know that . I just want to thank you for being both a great sportsman and a great guy. It is only the real, talented, and amazing individuals like YOU who make tennis the most fantastic and exciting sport in the world to play and follow (but soccer is a close second!). So keep being cool, get frustrated, break racquets, get angry, scream, win , lose, win some more, smile, laugh, but most of all be true to yourself and ENJOY the game alright ! !
I really wish you all the best Marat, you deserve it!
From a girl that is patiently waiting to see you win next years Australian Open 2007 title! Natasha, Australia
