Rafa-Mardy 1st ball struck at 11:30 pm -- gotta be close to the fastest turnaround time between matches ... apparently the latest start was an '87 match Gabriela Sabatini played that started shortly after MIDNIGHT because of rain (if I heard the commentators right) *who knew* course, tonight, commentators have been striking up all kinds of errors -- getting names wrong, etc - causing me to yell at the TV for them to get it right - maybe it's cause they're tired and need to go home, almost need a 3rd shift of people, esp with these late nights  ... and sometimes you just wish you could mute them, but keep the court noise ... other late-night observations -- you know you watch a lot of tennis when: ;D *you know chair umps just by their voice *you make a comment about a player, match, atmosphere, etc - then 5 minutes later, commentators say the same thing |

I cant stop looking at this man's photos. speaking of his hands/fingers/drinking, have you noticed in other photos that he often raises his pinky when drinking from a bottle or cup? even in the pic above, the pinky is not on the cup... so cute. Dear Lord, I need to work now. |

ps who is that old man in pink? Murphy Jensen ... he and his brother Luke played back in the day ... now they both do commentary, etc in various forms -- Murphy does Tennis Channel work and is doing the Off-Court Spotlight video interviews on USopen.org Murray - Rafa should be fun ;D ... so should Andy - Novak ... and both ladies semis ;D  to JMDP for a fantastic summer ... if he rests up and is able to play DC - should make for an interesting tie Bob & Mike will play Dlouhy-Paes for the men's doubles title, tomorrow (or Saturday?) |
