Yesterday's full results. Thanks Jen for constant updates Singles - First Round M Ancic (CRO) d [12] T Haas (GER) 36 76(3) 63 welcome back Bambi!!!!!! MARIO!!!! ;D Since the match started so late I just watched the first set and a break by Tommy in the second and went to bed expecting a quick and easy win for my fellow German. Boy, I was pleasantly surprised this morning! BTW, what happened to the "Dream Team" Rafa and Richie? I wonder which one of them cancelled their Doubles ?

The one good thing is that Marat is delighted with the way he and his new coach Hernan Gumy are working together and as such they have extended their initial contract which ran until after the US Open to the end of the year. At the end of the year they will re - evaluate the situation and all being well continue together next year. For Gawd's sake Big Yin, his initial contract was only up until the US Open? Give the bloke a chance. Then ... if you opt to go for coach number 9, I'll do it. ;D PS Anne, I may be old but I'm well-preserved. Granted the knees, hearing ... and now obviously the sight are going. I still have all my own teeth. ;D

I wonder which one of them cancelled their Doubles ? Wondered that myself .... on the draw itself, it stated the reason for withdrawal was because of Richie's hand, which then didn't hold up today Yesterday's full results. Thanks Jen for constant updates No prob! ..... tis a pleasure being amongst wonderful people who enjoy tennis as much as I do! Oh boy, the tennis pros are doing their best to ensure that Roger will win Cincinnatti There's not a single seeded player left in his half of the draw and also no potential unseeded threat - Fed will undoubtedly crush Baghdatis tonight and should also breeze through against players like Moya or Hewitt. As for the other half, I'm happy to see 5 seeded players still standing - but none of them is a Fed-threat. Kolya chokes every time and has been hit by the Federer curse and Andy doesn't seem to be able to convert either. Good luck to Sam Querrey and Tomas Berdych, my favorite (but unlikely) Semi final set-up. What a shame that Rafa and Richie had to retire Also sorry for Mario who fought admirably against Melzer but lost 7-9 in the third set tie break. As for Novak - I expected him to crash out early; even Roger proved time and again that it's nearly impossible to play two successful Masters Series in a row, especially in soaring heat. Plus, try to push yourself again after such a grandiose tourney like Montreal. He can rest now for the USOpen and do wonderful things there I'm off for the weekend so good bye for a few days. See you all in time for NYC ;D P.S.: Here are some doubles results from yesterday, including Mitya's second round win ;D Doubles - Second Round [[7] L Dlouhy (CZE) / P Vizner (CZE) d D Tursunov (RUS) / R Wassen (NED) 62 63 8) ;D Dearest Admin, please explain - it looks as if Mitya lost?! VERY confusing post ;D
