Im gonna be short and sweet
Ive seen George Bastl play at Wimbles before the millenium and thought he was pants.
I never knew he was around and dont expect to him be around any longer this week.
Marat should batter him im not even gonna worry about this match!
DAVAI MARAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SAFINNO1 you know i think if Marat won all this kind of matches, he'd never be out of top three ever! though i hope you're right! but better not expect anything from this match, keep it cool and let him find his marks with Herny and proof things to himself, first of all!

I've seen George Bastl play at Wimbles before the millenium and thought he was pants. Maybe it's just an age thing and you look at things differently, but NEVER, EVER underestimate an opponent. Bastl could play the match of his career - or he could be pants. I'd still expect the Big Yin to go out there and anticipate that he's playing that Fedifurry person again (that name suits Maestro - it's still kind of cuddly, but professional ...) ;D PS Alya, well done to you and Dendy. You will make so many hearts beat faster! LMAO ;D

Well not battering or thrashing and whatever it was that hapenned in the second set is still a mystery But he is through to quarters so YAY ;D ;D ;D Safin Battles Past Swiss to Reach Quarterfinals Former World No. 1 Marat Safin survived a stern challenge from Swiss qualifier George Bastl, Wednesday at the Countrywide Classic, to advance to the Los Angeles quarterfinals with a 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 victory. The Russian took the crucial break to go up 4-3 in the third set, and faced down triple break point in the following game to maintain his edge. Safin, who saved a total of six break point chances in the third set and 13 of 15 during the two-hour match, served out the win as he converted on his first of two match points. Safin, who is making his fourth career appearance in Los Angeles, advanced to the event quarterfinals for the first time. The third seed takes a 1-0 lifetime record into his next match against Asian No. 1 Hyung-Taik Lee.

Their head to head is 1:0 to Marat but their only meeting took place in 2005 during Monte Carlo Series on clay and Lee has gone a great deal up since then. He is currently number 42 in the world and can cause somes serious trouble for his opponents Let's hope Marat shows a good game

Yh i would give Lee a better chance of pulling an upset then Marat's 2 previous opponents - remember him putting up a thrilling 5 set match with Lleytron Hewitt at Wimbledon in previous years.
Good shot maker and an effective 1st serve!
Will be a tough match but hopefully without a lapse in concentration as he did in the 2nd set today - he should come through
UDACHI MARAT!!!!!!!!!!
