Hi everyone  Hope you’re all ok  Happines i hope u win the tix from ms.com...i wish i would have had that chance here but I guess it was meant for me to pay je je je...anyways I think for all the post that I have read and for personal experience u should 1)stick to the crowd, ask EVERYBODY! have no shame, this is the time when u leave being shy and AKS!!! I even made contact with a guy from the miami herald...he was cool. 2) hit the practise courts...the crowded ones are the ones where the good players are... 3) get there early and study security and the surroundings, I knew the amount of guards, the valets, and the end of shifts, learn how does the tourny runs, if they are organized, if the players have security, the exits, the entrance of the vip and the players. If u know the place its gonna make it easier for u to beat the crowd when running behind a player cause u know for sure where they are going next. 4)BE NICE!!!! I met the cooks, the security guards, the people who check the tix, I met them all and joke with them, that how I got to sit first row by paying the chapest tix...I talked to a lot of people with the uniform and they told me very very valuable things... 5)Stalk Peter "the coach" not marat...people are always asking for him and security is not going to tell u anything...if u ask for peter they would ( sometimes) so...when I saw peter I follow him cause eventually it would lead me to marat (its common sense) I even ask him one time..."hey can u take me to the locker room (just trying he migh have said yes who knows) but he said NO. so I figure, u should be his shadow je je je(misterious laugh) I gave the present to him, I don't know if Marat got it (maybe u should ask him 4 me pleeeeaaasee ) I heard his good at giving them to Marat...but if u got the chance to give it to him directly do not miss the chance. 6) HAVE FUN! this is already a given and like u I was soooo excited! even if u don't meet him the atmosphere its soo cool, one day i was walking and I saw dinara, then i saw niemeniem, then in starbucks i saw kutsneskova ( i don;t know how to write it) the hingis and bunch of people that made it all worth it! drink if u like to, eat if u like to, steal that adidas poster that i should have stolen from that tennis store (he looked soo good!) 7) Practise if u have to...i usually talk a lot, I work with customers every single day, about 300 of them, talking about money, investments, I'm a talker ok...when it I was in front of him I forgot everything I wanted to say...seriously I went BLANK. then when he left i was like "ohhh I should have said this damn" the most stupid things came out..always! so if u wanna say something instead of writing I sugest practise...it makes the master. 8) If you know the staff that he travels with...which i don't, only the manager, find out and good luck 9) I never got to follow him (or stalk him should i say) to his house or hoter wherever he was staying, I didn't want to because I thing it was too much but I've heard its a good place to find him, so if u don't have luck in the courts, go to the last resort. and do the same...friends with the valet, the people in the lobby, buy a drink, familiarize with the surroundings. 10) TELL HIM THAT HERE IN TGFR WE LOVE HIM!!!!! YIPPI!!!! seriously we should let him know that we are "still here" in MIAMI, RUSSIA, NEW ZEALAND...THE WORLD. 11) YELL NICELY, for some reason he didn't hear me asking for an autograph...maybe cause hes so so tall and I'm very very short (i guess) so the second time I screamed his name form like a mile away and HE HEARD ME!!!! don;t be like me who forgot to say thank you...and then when he was driving away I yelled Gracias to him...don't think he hear me.... 12) Pictures...i don't need to elaborate on that one. I really hope u get to meet him, have fun! support him, and OPEN YOU EYES who knows whats around you. (I was standing next to Lappenti and I realized when he was leaving, idiot me...) well, marats. to answer that question for my sis........we've met sharapova, clijsters, davenport, DINARA, shrichiphan, blake, the bryans, dementieva, fish, and a lot more... also, good luck to marat in estoril. i wish him the best of luck over there!!!!!!! GO MARAT ;D |

I don't want to interrupt the "How to meet Marat"-discussion, but have you checked out the draw for Estoril? Worst case scenario: Kolya in Round 2 and Almagro  in the Quarterfinal! I suppose I'm lacking faith but I think this won't be Marat's favorite tournament... |

Worst case scenario: Kolya in Round 2 and Almagro in the Quarterfinal! I suppose I'm lacking faith but I think this won't be Marat's favorite tournament... Have faith Davis Marat already won twice to Davydenko this year and he would have won to Almagro if it wasn’t for his ankle Let’s send some positive vibes to him, shall we? Hi everyone It's me again!!! LOL I was this weekend at Estoril Open I loved the atmosphere. It promisses to be a wondeful tournament!!!  And when I got home I was feeling very good ... untill I went to my mail box ... Then I was OVERWELMED!!! I have won a ticket at ms.com for tuesday's first round of Marat!!! ;D ;D And the best is that not only I, but António and Alexandra too ;D ;D It's gonna be A MEMORABLE DAY!!! To Davis: It's true the draw isn't easy, but it's a very small tourney so it's a bit logical that he has to play Almagro and Kolya quickly. At least he has a qualifier in the first round !!!
