Yeah me too Davis. That's really professional. Cause you can blame anyone/thing but he didn't and he's moving forward. But what I do think (I have read/see the interview) is that some people are blowing the whole 'retiring-thing' up way to much. Cause he's saying that it depends on what ranking he is about one or 2 years. round top 50 isn't that much fun, but he isn't round 50's now and only a few good results and he'll be up in top 20 again. It will come and I believe that he thinks the same:)! All these journalists are just quoting him wrong.. like i just read on the internet somewhere: (as title) "Safin doesn't feels like playing anymore" but is should be "Safin doesn't feels like playing anymore IF HE'S RANKED ROUND 50.. never mind! for some highlights and shots from yesterdays match, the match against Vicente and some interviews check this link: cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?rn=1929371&ch=1929371&src=ukeurosport<br%20/> and click on tennis! kisses

even if it could mean that he'll stop playing the tour earlier than expected... positive thinking, dear things will change. I liked too that he seemed positive also, that he seems determined to continue to try... Thanks everybody for all the pics, videos, links and the lot

I was busy this week, so I didn’t have much time to come here. Thanks for all the pictures, articles and interviews. Now I haven’t missed a thing. It is sad Marat has lost an early round again. Everything you think he can make it to the next round, he is losing. Let’s have faith he will do it better in the second half of this year.

Found on atptour.ru, who in their return found it on MTF. Absolutely priceless
To be, or not to be: that is the Safin: Whether 'tis nobler in his mind to suffer The chokes and winners of outrageous fifth sets, Or to take arms against a sea of unforced errors, And by opposing end them? To retire: to sleep; No more; and by a sleep to say we end The heart-ache and the thousand broken racquets That his career is heir to, 'tis a consummation Devoutly to be wish'd. To retire, to sleep; To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub; For in that sleep of retirement what dreams may come When he has shuffled off this see-saw career, Must give him pause: there's the respect That makes calamity of so long drama; For who would bear the whips and scorns of clay, The grass's wrong, the rebound ace's contumely, The pangs of shanked forehands, the rain delays, The insolence of umpires and the Santoros That patient merit of the unworthy takes, When he himself might his quietus make With a rare trophy? who would fardels bear, To grunt and sweat under a weary life, But that the dread of something after retirement, The undiscover'd country from whose bourn every player returns to the seniors tour, puzzles the will And makes him rather bear those dramas he has Than fly to others that he know not of? Thus conscience does make cowards of us all; And thus the native hue of resolution Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought, And his career of great talent and grace With this regard its successes turn awry, And lose the name of Marat. - Soft you now! The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons Be all Safins remember'd.
