Starace is doing well. Don't think he can beat Nadal, but perhaps he can bring some resistance. Let's hope so:)!

Relentless Rafa Pressure Sinks Johansson
Two-time defending Barcelona champion Rafael Nadal continues to serve up a storm at the Open Seat 2007, dropping just five points on serve in a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Thomas Johansson Thursday to reach the quarterfinals. Nadal, who conceded just four points on serve in his opening victory over Kristof Vliegen on Wednesday, extended his winning streak on clay to 69 matches.
Nadal began the match by winning nine consecutive points on serve and ended by winning 14 consecutive points on serve. He has not faced a break point during the tournament.
Johansson took the fight to the ATP World No. 2 in the second set, which remained on serve until the final game of the match. The 2002 Australian Open champion rallied from 0/40 in the fourth game of the set and in his next service game he saved two break points in an eight-deuce game. Johansson found some success in forcing Nadal to run wide to his forehand side but in the final game he let himself down with unforced errors. Throughout the match Nadal found success with his backhand passing shot when the Swede attacked the net.
Nadal next plays Potito Starace. The Italian needed five match points in a dramatic second-set tie-break to defeat eighth-seed Argentine Juan Ignacio Chela 6-4, 7-6. Starace, who has not dropped a set in three matches en route to the quarterfinals, saved one set point in the tie-break. He next faces the winner of top seed Rafael Nadal and Thomas Johansson.
Third-seed Spaniard Tommy Robredo failed in his bid to reach a second consecutive Barcelona final after falling 6-4, 2-6, 6-3 to Argentine Agustin Calleri, who avenged a semifinal loss to Robredo in the Auckland semifinals earlier in the year. Calleri has now reached the Open Seat quarterfinals four of the past five years, including his semifinal run in 2003.
Fifth-seeded Spaniard David Ferrer reached his fifth quarterfinal of the season at the Open Seat 2007 on Thursday, defeating Serb qualifier Boris Pashanski 6-2, 7-5. Ferrer, who came into the tournament with a modest 3-4 career record in Barcelona, advanced to the Open Seat quarterfinals for the first time in five appearances.
Ferrer, who improved to 21-8 on the season, claimed a rare 6-0, 6-0 win over American Paul Goldstein in his opening match. He next faces the winner of David Nalbandian and Carlos Moya as he continues his quest for a second title of the year (Auckland).
Argentine Guillermo Canas continued his outstanding year when he reached the quarterfinals after defeating Spanish qualifier Pablo Andujar 7-5, 6-3. Canas, who has not dropped a set in his three victories leading into the quarterfinals, has won nine of his past 10 matches and has won 20 of 24 matches this year.
Fellow Argentine David Nalbandian earned 17 break point opportunities against Carlos Moya and converted five in a 6-4, 6-3 victory that set up a quarterfinal meeting with David Ferrer. Nalbandian, whose last title came almost one year ago in Estoril, reached his first quarterfinal of the year.
Second seed Nikolay Davydenko took advantage of missed opportunities by Filippo Volandri to reach the quarterfinals. Volandri squandered three sets points in the first set and a 5-2 lead in the second set, handing victory to the Russian 7-6(5), 7-6(6).

WHAT THE PLAYERS SAID
Canas: " It's been a dificult match, I didn´t Know him (Andújar). He surprised me. If he keeps on playing like this he might enter the top 100 quite quick."
Moya: "It's been a strange match, none of us was on top level. I missed my chance of beating him."
Nadal: "This [pressure] is something you wonder about more than I do. If you want to be Nº2 , be in the first five at the end of the season, this is your pressure in every match."
Robredo: "I lost. I wanted to play well here, but that's the way tennis is. It's been more a mental matter than a physical one. I have to look forward to reach Rome on my top level. Next week I will be home as it was planned and training hard for Rome."
