I expect Marat to coast through the RR stages- but as we know with Marat there is'nt a thing such as an easy match!

After what happened with JCF in BaAs, I hope Marat takes his first match very seriously. Then it kind of makes the second rounder easier.

Really hope that he gets through - still thinking about going on next weekend.

Vegas? Eh? What tournament is this? Does it have any merit? Here's hoping the boy keeps the heid. Why did he have to revert to 'old Marat' in the last tournament at key points? Keeping the heid had paid off and he was getting his tactics together in the last few tournaments. I expect the 'mature Marat Safin' at Wimbledon ... and prior tournaments, specifically FO! (There's hard cash involved again at Wimbles ... the boy's costing me an arm and a leg again). I read that he'd played at Liverpool in the past. If the boy plays there this year ... with Borg in the Legends (scream), my year will be complete. I can die happy. ;D Fingers and toes crossed girls. If he appears at Liverpool as a warm up to Wimbles, I can get you lots
of photographs at close range - my seat is behind the server, only a couple of rows in.

PS Been out of the picture for a while ... was out on the garden building a cold-frame and fell on the slippery patio surface - too much algae ... Instinctively put out my right hand as I went down. Ouch. One fracture and a lot pain later ... and it would be the bloody right hand ... 3 weeks later and I can now lift a cup of tea. Wine intake has dropped dramatically too. :(At least I've lost weight). ;D Remaining cold-frame sitting at the side of the shed can wait a few weeks ...

Another PS Slip 100 dollars in to a fruit machine for me Marat while you're in Vegas. I feel lucky. For once. ;D Stick $20 on red 13 while you're at it ... ;D Will reimburse you at Wimbles.

We have managed to catch Marat after his arrival in Las Vegas and Marat answered some of the questions that for sure will be interesting for his Fans

Q. Hi Marat, welcome to Los Vegas

A Thank you very much. I had a great drive from Los Angeles.

Q We heard you also drove from San Jose to Los Angeles, why is that?

A I am not too crazy about flying and when I have time I enjoy driving and seeing
places. I drove on route no 1 to Los Angeles which was very nice and took photos
in Carmel and Monte ray , and the 17 miles drive and all in all it was a very
pleasant experience .

Q How was your week of practice in Los Angeles?

A I think it was very good. I worked hard with Miguel, my fitness coach, and it
helped me to adjust to the pace of the hard court. In San Jose I started the
tournament with hardly any practice because of my late arrival from Davis Cup.

Q When is Volkov joining you?

A Sasha and Sergei my doctor, will arrive on Friday in California and will work with
me in Indian Wells and Miami.

Q How are you enjoying Las Vegas so far?

A I've been here before. It's a fun place but I truly care more about the tournament
than the rest of the stuff that his city has to offer. I look forward to a great week
and hope to see some of my fans in the stands.

Since he doesn't play today, he probably will play tomorrow and no, Eurosport does not broadcasts

I think Eurosport 2 is just showing semifinal and final better than nothing i suppose just hope we get to see Marat

Okay,sorry everyone who will be dissapointed now . I don't know why the hell I thought today was Saturday . Eurosport2 will show the matches this weekend ,so blame on Marat if we shouldn't be able to watch him . I need some rest of being blamed for everything .
