On the day before the official draw, the list of participating players for the BNP Paribas Masters is as follows. Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal lead the field.

The BNP Paribas Masters 2006 tournament organisers have also given out the first invitations, or "wild cards", to two French players – Arnaud Clément and Fabrice Santoro.
With Clément and Santoro participating, there will now be seven French players in the draw for the BNP Paribas Masters, the others being Julien Benneteau, Richard Gasquet, Sébastien Grosjean, Gaël Monfils and Gilles Simon.
The third and final wild card will be allocated tomorrow, Friday 27 October.
In other news, Roger Federer, who is currently playing at the tournament in Basle (SUI), has asked the BNP Paribas Masters organisers to schedule his first round match Paris for Wednesday 1 November.
