Okay i'm mad My mum just called me to tell me that : "btw i forgot to tell you that i've seen the tennis player you like so much... Safin ?" Me : keep cool, keep cool, she still can't remember his name, keep cool "Well he was on tv yesterday evening on France 2 or 3 don't remember" "and [glow=red,2,300] he has made a little speech in french"[/glow] me : AND WHY DON'T YOU CALL ME TO TELL ME TO WATCH ?!!!!!!  her : "that was short and i didn't have the reflex but you know he was just saying "Hello, i wanna thank you all the French very much for your support, i'll be in Bercy this year, you can count on me and i'll try to do my best", like mum said "and a few things like that"  God but why did i miss Marat making a speech in french on my tv!!!!!! He must have been so cute, i'm desperate...  Well at least it's good to see that here the national tv is making effort to catch and promote our guy... ;D So if by miracle someone has seen it or even better record it, don't hesitate to send it please... Oh wow...Marat speaking french...I'm sure it will turn up on youtube or something like that sooner or later. So we'll keep an eye out. And as for being his personal french tutor...Carole I don't think you are the only one. ROFL |

DOES ANYBODY KNOW ANYONE WHO IS INTERSTED IN A FIRST CATEGORY BERCY TICKET FOR TUESDAY?
I could be talked into giving one away for a good price. Emma was a darling and purchased my seats for me but after Moscow I decided to become a snob and I bought a VIP ticket for Tuesday, so now I have two seats for that day! Of course sending the ticket wouldn't work anymore but I'm sure a handing-over could be arranged.

Gets out calculator: ok, ticket from Melbourne to Paris, stopover in Paris, spending money [one needs a new outfit for the tennis ] transfers to Bercy, hotel accommodation, money for food [and wine ], stopover in Paris on way back.............................um, I think I will have to pass - this time. Thanks for the offer ;D |

I have had a better offer. I think I will be in Melbourne until the end of Jan. That means 4 straight days [well 3, if he doesn't make it to the final] of Marat at Kooyong ;D ;D ;D.
Maybe I can tack it on the back of next years trip to Moscow??

Andy Roddick and Ivan Ljubicic have withdrawn from the Paris Masters beginning on Monday because of injury
Roddick - who was runner up at this year's US Open - has a foot injury while world number four Ljubicic is suffering from allergies.
Both players have already been guaranteed their places at the Masters Cup in November as Marcos Baghdatis and Tommy Robredo suffered defeats, making it impossible for the two to be caught in the rankings race.
