Aw, poor Marat. I know it's been a bad year, but I think it'd help him to keep in mind that he's climbed back into the top 40 and he can use that to build on next year.

OMG! Marat and Dima lost 2-6 1-6!!! Well, it was expected. They both have singles matches tomorrow and if they both win those then they would have to play doubles and singles on the same day. Better for them to lose now and rest up for their main event.

"I want the trophy" 31 october 2006 Tired after a difficult second round match against Robin Soderling (3/6 6/3 6/4), Marat was very clear about his goals in Paris. After a disappointing year, he feels ready to win a 4th Paris Master title. Interview: Sport24.com : Marat, was this match against Robin Soderling one of your best victory this year? M: I hope the interview won't take ages because Chelsea vs Barcelona match already started. ;D So I'll be quick. Indeed, that's my best victory this year against a player who is, IMO,one of the best on the ATP. He almost beat Roger Federer in Madrid. We saw u very concentrated during some key moments of the match.. It was a close match, so I had to be concentrated. I repeat, he is playing really well and I had to play my best tennis. Did the fact that playing here in Paris, give u more motivation after losing the first set? I always said I like playing here. I like this place, I feel well and that could had help me indeed. This year haven't been easy after coming back from your knee injury. Did u still fix some goals? No, I didn't have time to fix anything after that bad season. But I take what is good to take and I do not except any result now. I had a lot of disappointment this last months and now, I'm enjoying when I play my best tennis. It's the 7th week that u are spending in Europe. How do u feel physicaly? I feel pretty good, at least better than I used to ealier this year. I work a lot during the trainings for that. U won the tournament in 2000, 2002 and 2004. Seems u like even years... I know what u mean. Of course, I would like to win a 4th title this year. I even would like it much...

So, now it's official that Marat plays Gasquet tomorrow... I'm not quite sure what to think about it, well at Lyon he played pretty bad against him but I don' think that Gasquet should be unbetable for him... I hope so much he's more lucky than last time and takes revenge!!! Come on Marat!!!
