YEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rock on Roger!!! *is so proud* It wasn't a huge surprise that he won, still a great match though. Andy played very well, still not as well as he'd played in the weeks leading up to the final. I'm not a huge fan of Andy.... Ok I root for his opponents whenever he plays. But I think he's matured quite a bit, and his game is maturing too. His decision to have Jimmy coach him was a great decision, and I think we're gonna see alot more from him. And ya know....I may end up rooting for him... For once. <_<

And it was very funny and odd at the same time to see Tiger Woods sitting next to Mirka in Roger's box and cheering for Fedx rather than a fellow American

But he's overreacting after the last ball ! Marat let himself never fell on the ground after a victory ! Keep it simply !!!

Everyone deals with joy and sorrow in their own way according to one's personality. If he wants to fall on the ground - he falls on the ground and if he wants to weep his eyes out - let it be.. they boy has at the end of the day won 9 GS titles by the age of 25..hell he can do whatever he wants!!!! ;D

Last words: Player of the Day Roger Federer/Switzerland Day 14 His composure is alluring, his slice backhand is impenetrable, and his magnitude knows no end. It may have been the ending that everyone predicted and expected, but somehow Roger Federer still managed to make his third consecutive US Open championship a thrilling victory. In arguably Federer’s most competitive match of the tournament, he laid down the law over the re-energized No. 9 seed Andy Roddick; 6-2, 4-6, 7-5, 6-1. Tennis commentators and enthusiasts have dubbed Federer as “King of the Court” and his performance today brilliantly depicted why he continues to reign supreme. His fans are inexorably faithful, and, like a king to his subject, Federer protects the court and commandeers his opponent. Despite a 53-minute second set loss to Roddick, Federer remained in virtual control from start to finish. Agile and relentless, Federer not only served Roddick a searing 17 aces – topping off at 131mph – but he coupled that by slamming a daunting 69 winners down Roddick’s throat. The American hopeful played quite well, but still never stood a chance. It was David versus Goliath – only this Goliath refused to crumble and it was he, not David, who was anointed king. And if you’re still not convinced, take a look at his resume. The current world No. 1 enjoyed a 2004 and 2006 championship in the Australian Open, the runner-up spot at this year's French Open, and of course his exceptional four consecutive wins at Wimbledon. As for any pessimists who previously slighted Federer as merely a grass champ, his fortitude and record the past three years on hard court at the Open quickly refute – mock, even – such ideas. His consecutive appearances in Grand Slam finals is now up to six – and the Australian Open is just around the corner. Congratulations to a man whose finale today shot him to USOpen.org’s Player of the Day, US Open Men’s Singles Champion and the first man in history to simultaneously win Wimbledon and the US Open for three consecutive years. Flawless, confident and gracious, Federer is a worthy warrior whose composed play without question entitles him as the King of all Courts. And for that, we bow to him.
