This US Open run has been great. He got really far, especially with how much trouble he's had in the US Open Series. I'm very proud of the work he did here. I really wish that he could have atleast gotten far enough to face Federer again but his run here was fantastic and I hope he can carry that confidence and drive into future tournies.  P.S. Keep a look out on the USO site for any press confrence vids.  |

Sad. I can't help being sad. But right now, I'm already beginning to "cheer up" (well, to feel less sad, at least). Marat had a great run, he played amazing tennis during the tourney, and I think his confidence is back. I'm really looking forward the DC !

I'm so sad and disappointed, it's not fair he lost... He was so closed to win this one... At 3-1 in the TB he missed that damned volley and everything went away... For sure he made a great run but i can't stop myself to be so sad... If only he had been able to play consistant two sets in that match he would have won in four maximum...

I am so sad  He was so close especially after beating Ollie so convincingly. This one hurts. Hopefully he can bounce back for Davis Cup. (No more TV time until late September  ) |

Tonight, I would like to thank Marat for this tournament. For playing the way he played during all his matches, for puting a stupid smile on my face, for driving me nuts during his second round vs Nalby, for being amazing vs Olie, for doing his best vs Haas.... for not giving up at any moment even when Naby came back in the 5th set tie-break. I would also like to thank him for being so cute during press conferences, and good looking on pictures.... and for looking that great on the screen ;D I love you Marat |
