although, it looks like NYC might get some rain tonight...it's pouring here in Maryland from the stupid tropical depression. the tennis courts on campus are FLOODED so i'm hoping this doesn't move north tonight. I just hope this system moves slowly. It's only been raining on and off here in PA. *crosses fingers* If this storm keeps me from getting a good marat fix tonight I'm gonna be mad!

Some articles from Website OS
Mark Preston's Picks: Day 5 No. 4 seed David Nalbandian needed five sets to get through the first round here, and his second-round faceoff doesn’t figure to be any easier. In Marat Safin, he’s facing a big-time hard-court talent. The winner of the 2000 US Open and the 2005 Australian Open, Safin missed much of last year—including the US Open—with a knee injury, but the Russian is well versed in what it takes to string seven matches together over the course of two weeks. Unseeded here, he’s a potent second-round test for Nalbandian, the 2002 Wimbledon runner-up who this year has reached the semis at both the Aussie and French Opens. Safin leads their career head-to-head meetings 5-1, and this figures to be another high-caliber duel in which these two will put in some serious overtime. In five, a seed gets planted and Safin advances.

I just woke up to see the match.... But it looks like I'll never be able to watch it. I'm going to a cousin's wedding tomorrow, so if it's postponed, I'm not seeing it. If the rains stops now, I'll never get to sleep, but I'll even prefer that. Please let the sun come, please stop raining....

"The night session for Friday, September 1st (Session #10), is officially cancelled"
So it's over for today, and I read somewhere that it would be raining a t lot tomorrow & perhaps even on sunday. Anyway if Marat gets to play, please cheer for him from me, because it's killing me not to be able to watch him.
The OOP hasn't been released yet, and I'm off to bed, so good night everyone and...
DAVAI MARAT !!!

Just before going to sleep, I'll post a quote I found:
"The weather report (such as it is...) is to start raining and simply not stop for 24 hours or more."
So perhaps Marat won't even be able to play tomorrow... I also think that's why they have not released the OOP yet: why bother to make an OOP for a -almost certainly- raining day ?

Here's the OOP fpr tomorrow. And Marat will not play at Arthur Ashe's. He's playing the third match at Louis Armstrog Stadium. And when I thought it couldn't get any worse, his match will, probabily, be at the same time of Andre Agassi's match, which means that Agassi's match will be shown. www.usopen.org/en_US/scores/schedule/index.htmlFortunately for me, he is playing against an Argentine player... ;D
