You know I think sometimes Marat has a tendency to exaggerate things or maybe be too pessimistic about what he is capable of is a better description.
He said he does't expect anything from the end of this season. That's fine. I don't think he expected to win the US open when he was 20 either.
All that matters is him being relaxed enough to play his game with out putting his own self under pressure.
And besides that is what us fans are here for. All the times he doesn't believe in himself enough, we believe enough for him.

As you said Annie, Marat-Blake match was much much better, I should sell the tickets since yesterday. I don't know that you guys still wanna watch the interview with Marat at Thai women show "PhuYing Tueng PhuYing" (Women to women)? Go to tv.ku.ac.th/playback.php , then right click at channel 3 = => "save target as" at your computer. After the save process end, double click at your save file "tv3.asx" , you will see play list on the right, find "wednesday27_08_56" double click They will start the 8am TV clip of 27-Sep-06 but Marat's part started about minute 52 (8.52am, The first 51 minutes were another show.) They let us hear Marat voice about one minute however we'll see his face for many minutes. The interviewee started briefing about Marat childhood, she said that he came from a middle class family in Russia, his parent were professional tennis player, that how they got fund support for Marat, so he started playing tennis when he was kid. She asked him how many hours he practices each day, he said 4-5 hours everyday, sometime he can stop on Sunday, or when he's on the plane. Then she asked what does he do when he does not pratice, he said he can't do much thing, just spend time in the hotel room, and connect to the internet world, that why he invites his friends to be his travel companians sometimes. The interviewee asked Marat, does it worth to be a professional tennis player and have to live like this, he said, Sure, he can travel around the world, this week he stayed in Bangkok and next week in France, it's a good experience. She asked, what does he think about Thailand, he said, great, he love thailand, good hotel, good place, worm welcome. Actually he wanna came a day early to spend more time here but the schedule was too tight. My dear Marat, you're so sweet.

Marat is currently without a coach having taken a break from trainer Peter Lundgren :oCould he emulate federer and go on to trash ::)I hope so, but I also hope that he return to lundgren, hopefully I think that it is nice to see him pull off the pressure,"I don't care about what people say. I don't care about the pressure. It's just good to be back and I'm ready to compete." And maybe he can keep it that way even when he attains back a high ranking
