So sad he lost today, he definitely had his chances ! Still, it's no shame to lose to James Blake and Marat for sure played a great tournament. He showed that his fitness and agility are back, he had the mental stability to win three setters, and apart from those damn unforced errors he showed some quality tennis. BRAVO!!! And not to forget: His ranking should improve to about 61 ;D. His goal to end the year in the TOP 50 is real close to come true. You're back, big boy!

I feel so guilty that I fell asleep during Marat's match. I was waiting and waiting and waiting and then, i just passed out. As soon as I woke up , I went to the latptop right away and saw that heart-breaking score...............................................
Why marat has to go thru at least a TB to either win or lose? I'd think that's something he should improve on-take the chances and convert.
But he is on the right track. And I don't know what his new entry ranking will be next week.....More positive thoughts: since he has no points to defend for upcoming indoor tournaments. His ranking, for sure, will improve alot at the end of this year to go to Australian open.
He is super talented and he just can't hold his nerves....... That's our Marat.
DAVAI MARAT !!! Will support you no matter what!

Yep and after a win in the masters of Madrid or/and Bercy it will be directly top 20 ;D Okay that's far away but hope makes the world run no ? Concerning the match, well for sure disappointment but he's improving... If he could just hold his nerves and stop wasting all the opportunities...
