Well what was that black drink, was he drinking coke ;D i think it is coke (or any other cola) ;D some players also use to drink cola during matches. It has lots of sugar and brings some energy really fast  |

I dont know whether it was coke - i love coke but it seems to clear unless it was dilute.
I remember one player may have been Goran he used to have a can of coke when he walked onto center court. followed by a bit of bannana - yak!

Yeh ... the boy is on court 2 aqain tomorrow. Third match. I'll be in the queue before 9am ... and then get in the queue again for standing room on court 2. Hopefully I get a clear view again. More pics in the offing for you guys.  I can feel my erse hoing numb again ... If Marat plays the way he did against Rusedski - and importantly, 'keeps the heid' - the boy's gonna win. It'll be tougher, but he'll still be able to put in the kind of match that everyone knows he can. I better pack my factor 50 suncream as it's to be a scorcher tomorrow. Have a lovely little red nose and cheeks today. I sweated it off and managed to blind myself while I was watching Dinara -it was 5-5 in the second set and I had to leave to go wash out the suncream. Think she won in a tight match. The eyes are still watering ... amazed I found my way home. |

Hey! Nice to see you're going too Mary. I'll be there again with those 'WE LOVE MARAT' fans, although I'll need one more person to hold one of them! I'm aiming for being in the queue at 4.30am to get court 2 tickets so i'll be having a numb bum too! And if i remember to bring the camera this time i'll take some pics as well!! Really can't wait! I have confidence in him am sure we will all be in for a good match! x x x |

Listening to sports talk radio.....Jim Courier is in town to promote upcoming tennis event. The radio host asked Jim WHO can seriously challenge Federer. Jim said, 'that Russian guy, Marat Safin. He has a million dollar body but a $10 head. You never know what's going to happen."
Everyone knows what Marat is capable of, so hopefully he can take this and beat Gonzales tomorrow!

I am really late but i just wanted to say Congratulations to Marat for his win. I didn't get to see it since all the matches are shown really late in Australia. So i just had to rely on all your reviews about his match. But hopefully i can see his next match. It sounds like Marat did the best he has in a while and i hope he does even better against Gonzales. Thanks for all the pics and interviews everyone!  |
