The article about the clothes at Wimby.....Sharapova has shoes with 18-K gold specks encrusted on them. " Hopefully, it will distract my opponents". Maria  Davenport is rolling along so won't be long before we see Safin. ;D |

Middle of the third set against Srichaphan and our boy is looking soooooooooooooooo good. Slight limping in the first set but seems like it went away. This could be a fun fun ride.......................... I'm just so happy I had to log in and cheer.

Where is everybody? In front of the TV I assume. Marat is moving so well and the commentators at ESPN (McEnroe & the other guy) are stunned at how mellow he is. Kinda funny. This is great. Marat up two sets and he's up 4 3 with the break. I will die if anything goes wrong.

nice win, 30+ in errors/winners, don't know the exact number since the stats won't load but i think he had around 10 aces and 1? double fault. Might be off a little but nice match except for a couple of games in the middle of the 2nd set Great job Marat! |

Hi CaliforniaSuds and everyone else ;D *YAY* *YAY* MOLDETS Marat M O L D E T S  CaliforniaSuds I did not realise you were over here... we could have gone to the discussions thread, next time okay? I was with the scoreboard and Radio Wimbledon LOL, so not one of the fortunate ones to in front of the tv watching our man win his match. From the commentators, Marat played a really good match, a controlled match, that due to his injury he ahs to play 'within himself' and 'concentrate on his tactics' and this is what he did. All the time keeping the pressure on Paradon. I agree CaliforniaSuds, I was having a heart attack in the last game of the third set, he seemed to b having a little trouble closing out, I was like, oh please dont let him break back please, we dont want a TB or fourth set, and he came thru. I am sure he was very relieved himself. They kept saying that Marat was very impressive today. They also so said that he tried not to put to much pressure on his body, like in stead of pulling up short after a winnner and maybe jolting his body he would do a couple extra steps. Sounds like Marat has a game plan people He knows what he doing out there Our Man is into the 2nd round and impressively so ;D |
