I have no idea how Marat will play just like noone else does but if Marat manages to snitch a set away from Kolya, then there is a chance he will win. Judging by yesterday's semifinal in Rotterdam Kolya looks very tired at the moment. He plays an excellent first set but half-way through the second he starts dropping the speed and the first serve starts going for him..if Marat takes advantage of that and has a good 1st serve percentage - there is a good chance of winning.... It hurts to even discuss this...have no idea how I will watch the match

Federer Leads Star-Studded Field
Roger Federer will be looking for a fourth consecutive title at The Dubai Tennis Championships, starting Monday. The ATP World No. 1 leads a star-studded field that includes Rafael Nadal, Andre Agassi and Marat Safin.
With the ExxonMobil Open (Doha) and Australian Open titles from two tournaments played this season, Federer will look to extend his Open Era record-winning streak on hard courts beyond his current tally of 52 matches.
Federer opens his title defense against Swiss compatriot Stanislas Wawrinka, currently ranked No. 54 in the INDESIT ATP Rankings.
Heading the list of challengers is Nadal, competing at the same event as Federer for the first time since the 2005 US Open.
Last year Federer and Nadal competed at eight tournaments together, with one of the two capturing the title on seven occasions.
Second-seeded Nadal opens his campaign against France’s Paul-Henri Mathieu, the player he beat en route to the Open 13 quarterfinals in Marseille a fortnight ago.
The Spaniard returns to the United Arab Emirates for the first time since 2004 when he reached the quarterfinals on debut.
Like Nadal, Agassi plays his second ATP tournament of 2006.
The 35-year-old, in his 21st season as a professional, reached the Delray Beach quarterfinals, losing to Spain’s Guillermo Garcia-Lopez.
Agassi meets Britain’s Greg Rusedski in round one for their 11th career meeting, hoping to better his 2005 semifinal performance.
Meanwhile, Safin makes a welcome return to the ATP circuit having missed much of last season with a persistent knee injury.
But the 26-year-old Russian, winner of 15 ATP singles titles, will have his work cut out against his first round opponent, No. 3 seed Nikolay Davydenko of Russia.
Davydenko reached the semifinals of the ABN AMRO World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam.
Safin, the 2001 finalist (l. Ferrero), last competed in August 2005 losing to Robby Ginepri in the quarterfinals of Masters Series Cincinnati.

WHAT IS THAT HAIR?! Is that even a hair? He could easily wear a kimono and brandish a sword, and Tom Cruise is history with his Last Samurai... I just hope that hair is a good luck charm of some sort the way he's growing it, enough to make a BUN!!! Waaah! -[ Goodluck Marat! May the force (and the bun) be with you tomorrow!

LMAO at "may bun be with you"
By the way, a pal of mine has rightly noticed that all the necklaces and amulets are gone from his neck

You're right Annie. I was so preoccupied with his hair and tattoo, which I think is sooo cool by the way, that I didn't notice all the necklaces are gone. Perhaps he really has transformed into a new Marat The hair gives enough distraction as it is...but whatever, HE IS BACK AND PLAYING TOMORROW! Win or lose, that's what matters, right?
