Well after hearing his great news we find somemore :
Safin qualifies for Masters Cup
Australian Open champion Marat Safin has qualified for the Masters Cup in Shanghai, joining Roger Federer and French Open champion Rafael Nadal. Federer and Nadal are assured of their places in the season finale due to their rankings, so Safin qualifies as the only other 2005 Grand Slam winner.
The top seven players in the Champions Race qualify, with one spot for a Grand Slam champion ranked in the top 20.
Safin is currently eighth but is guaranteed to finish in the top 20
It will be Safin's fourth appearance in five years at the Tennis Masters Cup, which will be held at the spectacular new Qi Zhong Stadium in Shanghai from 13-20 November.
Andy Roddick, Lleyton Hewitt and Andre Agassi should be safe for three of the final five places, with Guillermo Coria leading Nikolay Davydenko and Gaston Gaudio in the chase for the last two. BBC SPORT Taken from Official masters cup website. Marat Safin, 2005 Australian Open champion, will make his fourth appearance in five years at the Tennis Masters Cup
Safin, who captured his second career Grand Slam title at the Australian Open in January when he defeated Federer in the semifinals and Lleyton Hewitt in the final, first qualified for the Tennis Masters Cup in 2000. He reached the Tennis Masters Cup semifinals last year, when he and Federer played a riveting match that ended when Federer won a record-tying second-set tie-break 20-18.
Safin’s season to date has been hampered by a knee injury, forcing him to miss almost two months between Wimbledon and the Western & Southern Financial Group Masters in Cincinnati. Having played in only one hard court tournament leading up to the US Open, Safin’s injury also prevented him from playing in Flushing Meadows.
SAFIN SAYS: "I am looking forward to going back to Shanghai for the Tennis Masters Cup,” Safin said. “I played there in 2002 but was not so successful, so I want to do better this year. I know they have built a brand new stadium, which is very modern and impressive."

So Marat doesn´t at least have to worry about that anymore I think shanghai is a great place for the MC. Wasn´t it there three years ago? I think it was awesome there, the organisation, the crowd ;D However, it just can be better than at Houston

The only good thing was you were very close to the players. Wish I had the time and money to fly to shanghai.
