BTW, on ESPN Brad Gilbert was courtside and said Lundgren was trying to fire Marat up and get him into the match and according to Gilbert, Marat just gave Peter a look like....not today.
*LOL* That`s exactly what I thought by the middle of the first set Not today....

Oh, thanks for all these articles, although they´re really disturbing Seems like this knee is destroying his whole slam season and that is soo disappointing
I wonder if it´s really that good to play the US Open, coz with a sore knee it´s gonna be impossible for him to play his best and play for the title (like at Wimbly and FO) and maybe then the whole season is gone.
I don´t wanna be too negative and I appreciate that he´s playing in New York, but I´m really worried, again
I watched 1 match and a half (the second set of the match against Hrbaty and all the last match). Definitely, he didn´t play his best during the last match, but his tennis was there (some good shots from Marat... and Ginepri is playing really well these days)... He didn´t touch a racquet in a long time, so I can understand that Yeah, the sore knee has been bothering him for a long time, and it seems it will continue bothering him a little for some time, but I think (hope?) he`ll be fine for the indoor season. It seemed he was not very comfortable with his knee in the last match, but...who knows...
Anyway, when you don´t expect it, Marat wins a title, hahaha. But I would keep my expectations not too high for the USopen, but I don`t think the whole season is gone or we should worry too much. In my opinion his decision of not playing the Pilot Pen is a very wise one and I do think a week of "light" practise (if that happends) and physiotherapy can really make a difference and help that knee I think we shouldn´t bee to pesimistic or to optimistic, hahaha ;D ;D ;D In Marat`s words, "just keep it cool". We`ll see what happeneds with time
