For those who can't watch the match( like me )...and not only for those
Read it from bottom to top 16:24 Safin earns a set point at 30-40 on the Ferrero serve.. and the Spaniard double faults!!!! First set to Safin!! 6-4 ;D ;D ;D 16:18 Ferrero races to 40-0, but then Safin lands with a couple of his booming returns - it is hit or miss with the Russian, he has made over 15 unforced errors already - to claw back to 40-30.. Ferrero holds for 4-4. 16:11 Safin saves two further break points, loses a couple of game points himself.. before finally prevailing when Ferrero nets a forehand drop shot!! Marathon game. 4-3 to Safin.. 16:05 Ferrero has a wonderful chance to break as Safin produces a weak drop volley at 30-40.. but the Spaniard whack a forehand long.. deuce! 16:02 Ferrero levels at 3-3 and the demons appear to be with the Russian today - he screams at himself like a man possessed after netting a backhand! ...... No,i'm not surprised...just kidding! ;D15:57 Safin closes out to love for a 3-2 lead with Ferrero returning just one serve back into court... 15:55 Ferrero, who is currently ranked 39th in the world standings, closes out to advantage having trailled Safin 15-30... 2-2 15:47 Safin swaggers to his chair, as only he can, with a 2-1 lead highlighted by two booming backhands that kicked off the slow clay away from Ferrero's reach... 15:44 Ferrero closes out to 15, with Safin opening his shoulders of a couple of groundstrokes that fly wide of the tramlines... 1-1 15:40 Safin survives, rushing the net on two occasions to keep the rallies short as Ferrero - straight from the first point - highlights his willingness to scramble every ball back... 1-0 15:39 BREAK POINT for FERRERO... Safin serving at advantage point down... a forehand winner behind Ferrero gets the Russian back to deuce 15:35 At last, after a few minutes of worried faces in the Rothembaum stadium, Safin replaces his shoes and takes to the court serving first against former world No 1 Ferrero 15:27 Towards the end of the warm-up, Safin calls for a trainer to come onto court to adjust the strapping around his feet... doesn't appear to be anything to worry about 15:20 Australian Open champion Marat Safin comes onto court to play Spanish qualifier Juan Carlos Ferrero, the 2003 French Open winner...

No!!! NO!!! NO!!! JCF won the second set...6-4... Again...from bottom to top... 17:15 Ferrero takes the second set 6-4 with a magnificent drop shot (the shot of the match so far).. WE ARE GOING INTO A DECIDING SET! 17:11 Safin keeps raining down the blistering serves.. he wraps that game up with the loss of just one point.. but now Ferrero can serve for the set. 5-4. 17:09 Ferrero holds for 5-3 and Safin is now serving to stay in the second set. 17:05 Ferrero and Safin both hold once more as we edge our way through this second set.. 4-3 to Ferrero with the break. 16:58 Safin, throwing care to the wind, holds with some aggressive serving.. 3-2 to Ferrero. 16:54 Well, it's not great sportsmanship.. but the match has certainly improved because of it.. with both man clubbing the ball that bit harder and running for everything! Ferrero eventually wins the game after saving a break point.. 3-1. 16:51 HE'S DONE IT AGAIN!! Safin is unhappy with a serve that was called in.. and gets the umpire off the chair to show him!! 16:49 Safin finally wins the game for 2-1.. but the arguments carry on throughout the changeover, much to the disgust of Ferrero, whose rhythm is in danger of being broken. 16:45 Bizarre scenes in Hamburg where Safin has clambered up onto the umpire's chair and is remonstrating with the official over a dubious line call!!! 16:38 Ferrero produces a sublime drop-shot en route to holding for a 2-0 lead in the second set. 16:34 Safin is being made to work for his first service game in the second set.. saving a break point with a wonderful forehand winner.. but he's not so lucky the second time! Hitting a forehand wide to hand Ferrero the break!! 1-0

No... What can i say? In fact, i have nothing to say. nothing at all. usually, i have lots on my mind which cannot be expressed clearly after his failure. but this time, nothing, nothing at all. i'm unacceptably calm now. the last tournament before RG is over.
at least, i can accept anything that will happen in RG now.

Troubled Safin succumbs to Ferrero Former world number one Juan Carlos Ferrero continued his resurgence with a 4-6 6-4 6-2 win over big-hitting Russian Marat Safin to earn himself a place in the 3rd Round of the Hamburg Masters. Earlier, tenth seeded Argentine Guillermo Coria defeated Russian Mikhail Youzhny 6-2 6-3. FERRERO DEFIES ORGANISERS The 2003 Roland Garros champion Ferrero, who was forced to qualify for the French Open warm-up event despite his strong pedigree, made his claycourt expertise tell in a see-saw match on centre court. Safin, who has been struggling for form since winning the Australian Open in January, took the first set when Ferrero double-faulted to lose serve at 4-5. The Russian, though, lost his cool in the second set over a line call and Ferrero, who beat Safin in the third round at Monte Carlo last month, took full advantage to set up a last 16 clash with another Russian, Nikolay Davydenko. www.eurosport.com/imgbk/tennis/all/big_md-i171247.jpg[/img]

Its not good, its not good Poor habibi he must be so upset with himself. He should never have allowed JCF to break him in the first game of the second set. He was in control going into the second set, JFC was vunerable. and this must have really upset him, instead of regrouping, he allows his temper to get the better of him. I did not see the match, but from the reports it sounds like he went 'off' He temper caused him to lose this match?? There is NOTHING wrong with Marat's game, its there, it was there in the first set, and again there were fleeting moments of Marat's brilliance and talent later on, but its Marat, whatever is frustating him he is bring it to the court. He is taking his unhappiness and frustrations out on his tennis. He's gotta get over whatever it is that bothering him, or at least try to leave it at home, don't bring it to the court. Marat does not need anymore training, he's all trained out I think, and he can't get anymore court/match practise now before RG, I think he needs to put that racquet down for the next 7 days at least, go to Paris, with all those friends of his from Russia, indulge in those 'distractions' he mentioned in his interview, get them out of his system before RG And then, buckle down, regoup and focus for RG
