I know I know everything has been said about that tournament but I was away all last week as you have noticed (or maybe not LOL) and I think I have a right to express my humble opinion since I watched all the matches. So here is what I would like to say.
1. I am extremely happy with Marat's physical shape and techniques. It really shows he's been training hard, he is much more comfortable on clay now and he is showing some outstanding performance on the court. Some of the shots in Hamburg were incredible. He is back and it's a great great feeling!!!!! Nothing compared to Monte Carlo or Rome.
2. That umpire story. Thanks for posting that interview, it really shows he had a point BUT.....that still does not excuse his behaviour. I am sorry, you all know how I adore him and support him and always will but that moment was unbelievable. I do not care who was right or wrong, I know JCF can play mindgames and all that stuff but oh God, I don't believe I am gonna say this, but WHO THE HECK DOES MARAT THINK HE IS? Geeeeezzzzz to stand in front of the umpire (no matter how bad he is), who is much older than him in the first place, close to the microphone, perfectly well knowing that there are tons of people on the stadium watching plus at home watching the TV (it was like 3pm in Moscow and I gather like noon in London) and screaming the F word for 600 times into umpire's face!!!!! What is this? Is he for real? He is shouting and shouting and shouting "What the f** is this? This is f***ing not right!" and the umpire goes "You'd better watch your language because everybody can hear us!" and Marat goes "But I don't give a shit!". Oh man, come on!!!!!! After that the crowd started boooing him and supporting JCF. What else do you expect?
I know that in the state players are in during the game it's hard to watch yourself and all but he kept going for a minimum of 5-10 minutes, even after the game was over and he went on a break he started it all over again.
Marat, sweetie, please please waste your nerves and energy on court more than on umpires and all the screaming.
After that episode the game was lost, it was so obvious. He got peed off and was all over the place and JCF (don't even start me going on that guy arhgghghg) easily took advantage.
I hated that match just as much as I loved the Aussie Open semifinal against Federer....yes...that bad.
UFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF LOL
Kolya Davydenko...you're my hero!!!!!!! That match against JCF was unreal, I could not believe my eyes. It was sooooooooooooo .....easy....he just smashed the guy all over the court. Well done sweetie!!!! We Russians always pay back for our brothers!!! ROTFL
Phew....good to be back everyone!!!!! Let's forget about Hamburg and bonjour Paris!!!!
