LOL Teresa, he seems to take everything pretty calmly.  Another nice tanking job form Marat - 6-7, 4-6!!!!!!!!! To Kiefer who is not in a good form. But our baby Marat was partying 3 weeks in Moscow gaining weight so... Vass will be soooo mad, I'm sooooooo sorry for you Vass. Who says he was partying in Moscow? I read that he was back in Moscow training seriously. I'm not surprised he lost Dubai 1st round, though of course it is disappointing. A pity he didn't keep playing tournies after Australia, to keep the momentum going. Now he'll have to regroup and not let one loss get to him. I dont reckon Kiefer will go on and win many more matches after this. |

Thanks for the report Vass, it was very good and answered some things I was thinking about, i.e. doubles and conditioning. I hope you get to see him again before he leaves, Vass. |

LOL Sue, yeah, I read he was training in Moscow too but he still had gained weight plus the transition to outdoors and strange balls weren't exactly helping I guess. And Kiefer was actually playing pretty well as the reports tell. So you can calm down - he wasn't tanking, and I wasn't that serious really. I also hope he won't let this one loss get to him again. BTW, all 3 other Russian guys won so they seem to be in a good shape for the DC. |

okay he is not any of those players but he is better than all of them and just hate a guy with that talent not to be as successful as Roger and i feel this year he should make a effort to compete with roger week in week out. woah.....if marat were like roger, lleyton or andy..... i'd drop dead and DIE...non non non.....NOOOOOOOO!!!!! i kinda like marat like this..full of surprises..nasty surprises sometimes...but unpredictable is GOOD! makes the world move along more interestingly... |

maria..i was following misha's match (scoreboard of course) and it was kinda scrappy in the first set i thikn...but u might want to ask vass. the other two guys..no idea..but they seem to have won quite comfortably. and gee...is he REALLY PLAYING DUBS? that's a first... he usually just withdraws doesn't he  |

Jiat, yeah I hope Vass will report on how Misha's knee is. He had the tape under the kneecap as Vass said but he seems able to play pretty OK. I guess he also hadn't too much practice bc of the knee but seems OK so far. I hope it stays this way.  |

Just to answer the questions about Youhzni match since that's the 1 eurosport actually broadcast. He as pretty aggressive and i think it's his confidence that helped him. I mean, even if he made mistakes, he kept attacking, never giving up no matter what. And th'ats a pretty good sign i guess.
His game wasn't too bad. At some point his knee seemed to be a little problem though. Let's hope it'll get better.

He lost the doubles also, which is not a big surprise though. Vass must have heard correctly the other day, he was certainly thinking about leaving tomorrow. Anyway i didn't see the match so if anyone saw it...

Hi Safinno1, I really agree with you. I think that Marat should face all the games with the same attitude, like he does in ms or gs. This tournament probably is not so important , but could gave him such important points to end the year leading the Champions Race and finally get what he deserves: nº 1.  |

I didn't notice that there's something too wrong with his knee. It's another thing that he didn't play well in doubles today... |

I think that Marat should face all the games with the same attitude, like he does in ms or gs. well considering Marat went out in the 1st round of 2 of the 4 slams last year this 'treat them all like a slam' theory is just a worthless waste of time |
