There's a US Open Preview in this week's 'The Sportstar'. Safin's been discussed as well. I have the magazine, I'll try to scan the article for all. Here's a little piece from it on: www.sportstaronnet.com/tss2735/ss273500.htmJoy ;D

LOL! Maybe whoever was nagging him that the derro look is not very attractive stopped nagging him. A little wasn't bad, but he was just starting to look scruffy.
Definitley wondering what the rest of that article says.. Watching him here in January there is no doubt, on his day, Marat is arguably the best player in the world. It's the theatrics that constantly seem to let him down. Instead of getting even and rising to the challenge, he just seems to get mad ever since those brilliant matches in Australia where he rose to the challenge.

yeah hopefully! seems like i'm the only one who's sad it's gone, okay it was getting a bit too much, but still.... well, like I said a few times before, I got used to his facial hair so much that now I don't care if he's got it or not... (as long as it's not too long <--- wow, what a brilliant sentence ... but you know what I mean)

Hi guy's I'm wishing Marat alot of good things, I hope he can do himself justice at the US Open. Some nice things said about him in the Independant. I posted this quote on Safinator, cos it goes to show the Journo's still rate him
" Such is his enduring genius that Marat Safin, the 2000 champion, has to be accorded a chance, but he is the lone Russian men's threat " ;D ;D
love Dee

Thanks for the quote Dee!
Read on Safinator that Enqvist has blisters on his hands... sad for him ofcourse, but maybe an advantage for Marat....?

But Dinara is playing 3rd on Armstrong court, I hope she can play well tomorrow, its really a tough draw. Federer is playing Costa .........Costa was supposed to be injured well at least he retired from his match against Agassi I think........hope he is. Agassi is also playing and playing Ginepri...... Okay I know this is a thread for Marat ;D just to lazy to post the other bits over on the other players thread....won't do it again, promise
