Safinno, compared to real "in-depth" articles this is NOTHING. Has absolutely NOTHING new in it.... ;D I'm starting to like this discussion. If you want I can support it with points....

Okay then vass lets hear your points. Agh. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to. ;D I need to do some research first, as I intend to compare it with some in-depth article. But here are some minor points: 1. "In-depth" articles would usually focus more on one main topic. But here the topic is as broad as "Safin". Let's take another article, which I think IS in-depth: The Art Of MArat Safin. It deals only with one topic- Marat's personality. But what does this one do? It gives us everything ranging from latest results, short biography, Marat's personality, Marat's work with Lungren, Marat's plans. It's interesting that all of these are inter-mixed: "Safin edged above Andre Agassi into eighth spot in the ATP Champions Race after claiming his 12th title" comes under "Fiery temperament". Whatever. If it was an "in-depth" article, as you're eager to call it, it should have given atleast half a page for each of these topics. 2. An in-depth article would most probably have an introduction of the topic that's going to be looked at closely, the main part, and the conclusion. The conclusion would probably contain an authors opinion. But in here, there was no such devision. Do you ever notice a difference between the editorial page in a newspaper and a regular one? On the editorial page they deal with the same stuff as on the other pages, but on the editorial the news are analysed rather than just given in fact form. Where would our above article go? Did you see any editor's opinion in the whole article? I didn't. 3. Tell me: how much time do you think it takes to prepare a good in-depth article? This one was released the day after the match. While articles in TENNIS magazine for example take a few weeks to be written. That happens for a reason. What you're calling an "in-depth" article is an average newspaper report. Nothing more. PS: i would like to hear your arguments now. Usually when people claim something they need to prove it. Let's use the following concept in this and any future discussions: a point is not valid until it's proved.
