I dont mind if he retires but i think he is past his peak and wil not feature among Federer Roddick SAFIN hewitt etc well, for the moment he's achieved more than Marat, Roddick and Hewitt if you look at the Grand slam he won: 3, just like Roger. And he also finished the year #1 in 2000. Hewittdid this twice (2001, 2002), Roddick once (last year), and Roger will do it this year... to me he is (or has been if you prefer) as good as those guys. But if you're talking about the future, then i agree that, given that he is older than the guys you mentionned, and because of his hip, he probably won't be a tough rival for them in the next years

... but i think he is past his peak and wil not feature among Federer Roddick SAFIN hewitt etc Past his peak and yet he can still beat Federer, Roddick, Hewitt and Marat on clay. hmmm doesn't sound like he is too far past his prime to me. Guga on clay, especially at Roland Garros, is a draw no one wants. Hopefully this surgery was a sucess and he can return to the Guga of old

But can you people see guga challenging or even winning a Grand Slam Masters seires event after coming back from surgery which has always been a problem.

he may be able to do that but my instinct says unfortunately no you could be right...but he could give the top 5 a run for their money...plus, adidas says "impossible is nothing".... and one olympics song went "dare to dream" so....guga..."just do it" ;D
