Well, as some of you may know, Guga lost in the first round of the Olympics.  And I know how badly he wanted to medal.  Do you guys think that he can ever make a comeback or get back to the level of play that he used to have before his injury?? I just hope that Guga will not let this season and it's results frustrate him, that he will continue to work hard, continue to play hard, not get discouraged, and keep trying. I hope that he'll not get to his old level, but a level even higher than that. I hope that next year he'll start out strong and end stronger. |

he lost?!  i didn't know that aww, poor Guga I don't know if he'll get back to his former level of play. I dount he will. In RG he said to french tv commentators that he wasn't really expecting to get back that level of play. All he wants is to be able to play several tournaments in a row without suffering. Because he said sometimes he can play for some weeks and then the pain comes back and he can't play for the next weeks  He said that being able to play for quite a long time without pain was all he wanted. But he made a good tournament in RG this year despite that, and he loves this tournament so much..... maybe he'll win it again in the future. I hope he will  |

Well I'd love to see Guga do well especially at the French, the crowd seem to love him so much there!
But I don't think that he can get back to the level that he once played at, which is a pity, but I do hope that he fulfills his goals and gets through a long period of time without suffering

I think I should have just stayed at my parents, this day is just getting more depressing I had no clue how Marat or Guga did until I showed up here and saw that they both had lost already And no Ivy, I don't think, wait let me rephase that, I know that Guga will never be the way he was before his surgery. All his fans can hope for is a few good winning streaks every year. I would be shocked if he ever makes to a grand slam final, much less wins one. We can always hope, but I'm sure not expecting it |

I think Guga's still a great player, and hopefully he'll make a come back. He's a player you can never strike off the top list...I mean, he's still got loads of tennis in his bones.
