Great article, yse. We were saying the same thing after Nadal lost: that there was no way that Federer won't win. But I don't think tournament loses if Fed and Nadal are not there, I think it makes it more interesting. Just a little statistics I heard (not related to the article): since 2004 Federer won 220 matches and lost 14. And of those 14, he lost 6 from Nadal and nobody else defeated him more then once since then.

He looked really rusty out there but u know what they say-you are the best when u can pull it off even though you're not at ur best.

But on the other hand he should be fairly well-rested - he hadn't played a single tournament between Wimby and Toronto. Must be the downside of "having to" play 5 matches at each Master Series Event...
