Steph, he didn't look that bad back then! And he looks just great now! are you kidding me? the pics i saw were bad, on one of them he even had blond streaks! I was reading an article about Roger last friday and when i saw those old pics i thought "omg, he's much better with the long hair and the ponytail".... although i've never been a fan of the ponytail before that! so i was finally thinking that he was good with the long hair... and on saturday i went on the MB and you said he had cut his hair! i couldn't believe it! ;D

Steph, I meant THAT bad.... Well, these childhood pics are certainly not the greatest but I guess I'm not in a judgemental mood. Unlike you might believe looks are not the most important in a man for me. ;D About Rogi> I guess he got tired of the neat ponytail. And I think he looks OK with whatever hairdo. He has great hair BTW. at our discussion abt Rogi's hair.

There is an article about roger federer at www.latimes.com/sports/la-sp-tennis21mar21,1,5054319.story?coll=la-headlines-sports&ctrack=1&cset=true the but i am outraged at is when he talks about Marat Safin And don't even bring up Marat Safin, the only man to beat Federer in 27 matches in 2005. Federer didn't quite sniff at the notion of Safin as a great possible rival but was pleasantly dismissive. "I don't quite agree it's only Marat, you know, he's got a chance just because he beat me last time," Federer said of his loss to Safin at the Australian Open in the semifinals in January. And lest we forget …<br> "I have a great record [6-2] against him, as well. Don't forget that, please," Federer said, smiling. Will roger ever give him credit for beating him.

yes, you're right Ily...that is annoying of him! Give credit where its due, marat beat him fair and square, he was outplayed and outlasted by Marat. Hmmm...if Marat beats him again, he'll crash back to earth..it's just unfortunate they haven't yet faced each other again...

i personally believe had Ivan beaten federer in any of the finals mainly rotterdam federer would have been really struggling he could have lost all his momemtum as when i was watching him he looked mere average and who have we got to thank for bringing he big head back too earth. Marat Safn.
I would put my life savings on marat beating roger federer at the AO, (Barcelona,Valencia or Estoril), US Open, Madrid and paris. Places where he tends to do well and LIKES.

Is it too much if I start a thread called "I´m fed up of seeing Federer everywhere"? ;D ;D ;D In a UN press conference, in a school in South Africa (I´m not a big fan of publicited "charity"), in the helipad in Dubai, "hosting" the exhibition in Indian Wells, etc, etc..... And have you seen the cover of Deuce Magazine??!! C´mon!!!!!!! "The one" Oh!!! Is this a preview of Matrix??! "The making of a global ambassador"??!!!! It seems he´s not only an ambassador now, but he is a GLOBAL one!! ;D ;D www.atptennis.com/shared/graphics/deuce_cover_the_one.jpgI won´t say he doesn´t deserve being number 1. That´s fair. And he deserves all the awards. But it´s too much advertising!!! I´m better now. I just needed to say this. And sorry if any Federer fan is around here. I really think what I say. I never though I would say this but: There were better days when Andy had all the press around!! And you could understand all that publicity as he is north american. But all the "Federer issue" is going out of control ;D ;D I guess it´s about making money in the american tour I don´t know..... Selling tickets when an american is number 3 or 4 may be difficult.... Specially when he allways loses when he faces Roger or Lleyton.... And , yes, Roger is a GREAT player too.
