Maria Sharapova is officially the loudest grunter on court. The queen of screams may have been knocked out of the Wimbledon championships but her victor, Venus Williams, will guarantee that we'll hear plenty of grunts and groans in the ladies' final. But is grunting good for the game? Just want to know your opinion....  |

grunting is one thing but Maria screeches like an owl that is being tortured  i have to mute the tv any time she is on otherwise i get a headache  |

Darn right!!!!!!! I mean most of the females grunt but she's waaaaaay too much for me....honestly..it's like she's being cut into pieces ugh

Venus is loud, but 'Screamapova' is just horrible! I can't listen to her playing, it's just tooooo afwul!!! It would really annoy me if I were her opponent (not that that's ever gonna happen, I hardly even know how to hold a tennis racket!)

I think all the attention and fuss around her at the age of 17-18 got into her head....it's a bit too much to handle, so she's become a little spoilt brat

i believe i mentioned this somwhere before here in this forum...she has been measured indeed to have reached 100 decibels..or 101 as pau said....and that was said to be as loud as a small airplane landing on a prairie...

 101 DB she is tough!! I dont like her screeming either once my friend told me that they are afraide that sharapova becomes the next Kornicova " I mrean she will become a model and so" and then she said that cant be she is so mannish for modelling I dont know everytime I see her thin body I wonder "OMG" how can such body produce such voices and serves thats strange!!

I still find it strange that she's got so much power in her, she's tall yes, but she's also as thin as a stick!
But Maria please: STOP THE SCREAMING!! I can't take it anymore!!!!
The more I "hear" her play, the more I start disliking her, because of those horrible sounds she makes (not to mention the fact that's she's apparently not such a nice person off the court). She herself has said that she doesn't even notices she does it, but come on, how can you not notice that you make noises as loud as a small plain landing! HELLO!!

Yea Annie but As Laney Said she is As thin As a stick
She is still a good player That russians should like I admit But dont u tell me that u dont mute ur tv or even turn the channel when she is screeming
Also I dont know If she were more decent pple could have loved her screems
Although she is cute she got something in her face that makes pple hate her
U know ur face is a reflection of ur inside

I know what you mean raghda. Some people just give you bad vibes..I get that from her too..maybe when she grows up and becomes more independent from her father, she'll be better.....he gives me the creeps.....and he has way too much influence on her
